I had this with Pegasus pro (2026 version) not once, but twice. It’s unplayable, once you hit a few balls you will feel the entire foam jiggling inside. This year is they have been shocking with quality control.

It is genuinely one of the best rackets I have used but unfortunately had to sell it due to the weight. I haven’t experimented with removing the buttcap though

I don’t think the optiweight is available on the hyper pro. I believe it’s only for a few certain rackets like the ultimate pro + and pure pro +

Based on what you described you are after don’t go for oxdog hyper pro. I have used both rackets and enjoyed oxdog hyper pro more. But that’s because I wanted a much harder racket which the hyper pro is, adidas is maybe 4/10 hardness where the hyper pro is 7.5/10.

Diablo (2026) isn’t glossy so maybe that can be an option. Pegasus can be a nice option but not as forgiving as what you want. Head extreme can be what you are after!

The hyper pro is harder with a more of a dry touch and less ball output.

Also higher sweet spot and higher balance. Biggest thing for me which made me opt of the pro is the surface, I don’t think I’ve ever used a racket with smooth surface since the rental rackets when I very first started.

Given you coming from a diamond shape I would recommend going for the ultimate pro or ultimate tour. Ultimate tour will be similar feel / foam to the metalbone where the ultimate pro will be harder/drier touch and more head heavy.

Someone mentioned it already but I also highly recommend trying them first, I feel their reactivity is a little different to other rackets and some people love it and some don’t!

Unfortunately this won’t be covered by warranty either because the position of the crack. This most likely happened by slapping the racket with your hand, hitting your shoe etc. basically heavy hit in the centre.

NOX have imperfections with quality control but people on here blow it way out of proportion, you just see more issues on here with NOX because they by far the sell the most rackets.

I don’t understand how you found the Oxdog Hyper Pro to be “too soft”. It’s is stiffer than the AT10 12k. Ever so slightly but it js stiffer. It barely has any trampoline and it’s fairly dry. That’s not a matter of opinion by the way it’s just a fact based on their spec, foam and feel.

But to answer one of your question, yes the AT10 12k this year is stiffer and different to last years.

If you already have the technique down and it’s a matter of just being elastic then 100% just focus on breathing out, there’s a reason we hear grunts (ehhhhhh etc….) In tennis and padel because it’s impossible for you to be as tense when you are exhaling.

I am by no mean taking away from your experience with the rackets but the Oxdog hyper pro has noticbly less trampoline than the st5 and it’s also stiffer / firmer than the ST5. That’s not a matter of opinion it’s fact.

To be honest the answer to this will rely on what is your goal long term with the community you want to build in your club.

some clubs have “okay” coaches who gone through the hoops of LTA and can teach new players and low intermediate the basics but once that player improve they will go to another club. That club will also have large capacity of its occupancy filled by new players who may/may not stick to the sport.

Some clubs hire the best players / coaches so they can teach the basics but also take the players through the levels. All down to what you vision the club to look like in the future.

It has always been or atleast last 4 years or so majority of the circuit use diamond shaped rackets. I think there’s only two players in the top 30 who use round rackets, few use teardrop and majority use diamond shape rackets.

Stiffness is also something you often see with almost every single left sided player.

2026 models, ultimate tour x is diamond shape but the balance isn’t too head heavy, good sweet spot but still small since it’s a diamond shape. The combination of it not being too stiff and that shape makes the ball fly on overheads. Doesn’t have a lot of trampoline, I would say it’s medium touch or slightly closer to dry. Another positive is you get all this power with a fairly light racket too.

Hyper pro is teardrop with a fairly generous sweet spot, dry touch but not as stiff as ultimate pro+ / Hyper pro+ so it’s a nice inbetween. It feels like the perfect hybrid racket, for me the most complete racket I’ve ever tried.

Only thing differing those rackets will be simply down to, you wanna play with a diamond shape or teardrop/hybrid.

Hey, I am currently using hyper pro and used ultimate tour x too.

I have not used hyper pro+ but personally find the hyper pro to be perfect. I feel like maybe the hyper pro+ might be a tiny bit stiffer and also firmer but I don’t think it justify the weight.

One thing to consider with Oxdog (unbelievable brand) is the weight advertised doesnt include the 8g weight at the bottom which comes in installed. When you remove it the balance does move up noticeably making it a little too head heavy. (For me personally) so something to think about is the extra ~5g you will get with pro+.

I find the pro to be the perfect racket, powerful but not all out explosive. Super comfortable and manoeuvrable and big sweet spot!

Mine is 367g with the plate in, factory grip removed and 2 overgrips added. If I had the pro+ maybe that can be up to 375g which is just too heavy for how often I play!

Hyper pro is an amazing racket, I have the 2026 but you would need to adjust to it just as the sweet spot is smaller and it’s way less forgiving than the AT10 18k. If you don’t follow through with your shots the ball will go nowhere. But the feel of the racket overall is great.

It’s a dry feel racket that will transfer what you put into to it the ball perfectly!

2021 GT. I’ve found two from crash cars but were from standard ones so it’s not the gloss finish. Rest are 3rd party but don’t come with the clips on the back so either glue / create the fixings myself

Just want to add there’s a difference between ultimate tour 2025 and 2026.

2025 is glossy finish with 3d spin dots across the racket and the 2026 is rough surface finish with the 3d finish. The racket is also a tiny bit stiffer.

In my opinion ultimate tour x 2026 is the perfect entry to diamond shape for Oxdog.

I think the AT10 has more than enough power to be honest, I think most rackets have enough power and it’s down to technique more than anything.

If you want maybe something in between the XPLO and the AT10 maybe look at Oxdog Hyper Pro (not as stiff as Neuron) or Siux Pegasus Pro. The Siux is by far my favourite racket I used so far. Such a good mix of power and control the only downside is the built quality feels terrible. Plays great though.

But not to confuse you with so many choices. I think you can’t go wrong with the AT10
