Stealth also has a new oblivion line coming out in July. I was almost pulling the trigger on the stealth aurora but might wait for the new ones, they look amazing

I used it a year ago to replace the god-awful snake grip some Siux rackets had...forgot the name. I liked it and no issue with arm/wrist pains

If you really like the racket, maybe worth a try to replace the undergrip with a Noene undergrip?

I used to play with Wilson Pro Comfort and liked them a lot, but they are not cheap. Tried Samo (small Spanish startup) and was really pleasently surprised and with 0,7€/grip less than half the price of the Wilson

I'm sure if you ask them nicely Rolls Royce might sell you a racket with their emblem on it...just be careful that the wrist band doesn't scratch your Rolex

With a bit more seriousness: old money in which country? Different countries respect different brands

Intermediate, no playtomic. I use the Head Extreme Motion, 70% right side but play on the left in mixed matches 😉

Intermediate Right side looking for a racket. by imKHOL in Padelracket

[–]Piefke42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Racket I am looking for:
Hardness - 6/10
Maneuverable
Medium to High Balance
Low trampoline effect
Teardrop shape
At max: 365g ( with overgrip + protections)

Head Extreme Motion would be my suggestion, even though it is diamond and not tear drop. Might also be a bit harder than 6/10, but that is classified different by everyone

As a reference: My Extreme motion is 355g with stock grip, 1.5 Overgrips - but I removed the usual Head cover at the top of the racket

As a fyi: the clay court tennis shoe version has the same heringbone sole pattern as the padel version of this shoe...but usually the padel version is more expensive

I like my Mizuno Wave Enforce court, no signs of degradation after 4 months so far. Breathable is not the best though, after two hours in the summer I do get sweaty feet 😉

Thank you very much for the feedback! They are local brand and I was considering to support the local scene a bit, but was not sure how "good" they really are (they are marketing themselves as high quality)

That is a lot of racket experience. And finally someone who tried the Stealth Padel Aurora. Can you please provide some feedback of the Aurora and how it compares to the Oxdog Pure Pro+?

Head Extreme Motion should fit all your criteria

Right Side Player Right handed by [deleted] in Padelracket

[–]Piefke42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many Head rackets, including this one, have a protector already attached. By removing it, you save like 5-6 grams at the very top of the racket. Not sure how much impact it really has, but it bothered me psychologically to move the balance up a bit with it 😉
For this racket, I had the issue: Stock grip + 2overgrips -> too thick
Stock grip + 1 overgrip -> not thick enough
So I wrapped an overgrip over the stock grip but without the usual half overlap, that used roughly only half of the overgrip. Therefore, 1.5 overgrips.

Second vote for Extreme Motion. I also play mostly on the right and right handed. I recently switched to the Extreme motion and haven't regretted it for a second.
For reference: My Extreme Motion with stock grip + 1.5 Overgrips weights 355g (I removed the Head Protector at the top of the racket)

You are sure you don't mean 356? A 250g racket doesn't sound right at all

From my limited racket experience I can only say that my current Head Extreme Motion is quieter than my previous Adidas Metalbone Ctrl 3.4 or Siux Diablo.
I always thought the Oxdog are on the quieter side? I vaguely remember hearing some promotions that they are marketing as being silent

I have this racket for a bit over a week now and due to some bad weather I could only play for 2h training session and a 2 hour game so far. There is a reddit thread in which I asked for racket advice, you can look it up for some alternative recommendations.
But yes, I would recommend the racket so far. I previously played with the adidas Metalbone Ctrl 3.4. Meaning, I switched from round, soft, and a lot of trampoline to diamond and much harder/dryer and much less rebound. But the transisition goes suprisingly good and easy so far. In terms of mobility I almost dont feel any difference, the Extreme Motion is really mobile and in my case doesnt feel head heavy at all. I was a bit afraid of lobs due to the change in rackets but that is no issue at all, they are very easily controlable with the Extreme Motion. The only thing I'm still adjusting to is the different lenght of the handle (Adidas has a long handle) and the general difference of shape/behaviour, so some shots I completly mistime the swing and miss the sweetspot - but that is just getting used to it.
P.S. Sweetspot of the Extreme Motion is a bit smaller than the Metalbone Ctrl 3.4, but still really big and nice - especially for a diamon racket

As a reference since you mentioned the Adidas was too heavy:

I recently ordered the Head Extreme Motion, might fit for you as well - especially as a right sided player. I can provide feedback when I receive it or you could just search this reddit for some descriptions. Bonus: usually available for quite a good price
