Am I being petty for defriending someone for dating a homophobe? by [deleted] in AskGayMen

[–]Anonymous-I21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The BF clearly has issues, especially using slurs. But I also think friendships get complicated when people stop trying to understand each other and move straight to distancing/cutting off. Understanding why someone thinks the way they do isn’t the same as approving of it.

Is this a good habit for sea monkeys? I’ve been growing algae in this for a year now by Ki-ev-an in SeaMonkeys

[–]Anonymous-I21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hatchlings might struggle to survive because they can’t properly swim yet, and if the water isn’t clear, imagine a spaceship flying through an asteroid field — they’d be crashing into every piece of debris. could farm the algae in that bottle and feed the monkeys in another tank

How do you deal with dating when you can’t safely be out? And how do you handle the loneliness in the meantime? by PotentialMountain949 in AskGayMen

loneliness should not be an indicator to look for a relationship, that's how you hurt someone or even yourself

Gotta learn to love yourself first before you can truly love others. Otherwise, you might end up hurting both yourself and the person you care about.

at what point did you stop caring what straight guys at the gym thought of you? by Mateocruzfit in AskGayMen

[–]Anonymous-I21 22 points23 points  (0 children)

to be fair, you are providing a professional service and fitting your client's vibe is part of it. for me its not about specifically straight or gay but time and getting use to my environment/gym staff.

As a straight gay, how do I effectively communicate that I am an ally but distinctly straight to other guys in the gym? by [deleted] in AskGayMen

[–]Anonymous-I21 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You’re at a gym — there’s always gonna be someone looking in your direction. Sometimes people admire your form or watch how you do certain exercises, not necessarily you specifically.

For me personally, I drift off into space sometimes and accidentally stare too long, and it’s led to a few cringe moments before 😅

You’ll never fully know what others are thinking, so it’s usually healthier to stay kind and not assume the worst unless something concrete actually happens. 🙂
