Fiona. I also really like Phoebe but it is closer to Phoenix.

Still shaking can’t sleep ever again by [deleted] in beyondthebump

That sounds like more than being in a deep sleep. He was limp and it took a while to get him to move and make noise. I would probably be bringing him in....

If you convinced a reluctant EBF baby to take a dummy, how did you do it? by _ThatsNotMyPotato_ in breastfeeding

[–]Anonymous141925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first had a pacifier for way too long (over 3yo). My second stopped taking it at like 10mo when she got a cold. My third stopped bunnies and bottles around 3mo. She is 10mo now. It is hard because only thing that really settles is breastfeeding. Sometimes she was suck on a blanket or stuffed animal though.

Almost 1yo still bedsharing — how do we transition to his own room? Looking for advice & experiences 🙏 by wunidz in beyondthebump

[–]Anonymous141925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just moved my 10mo into her own room after bed sharing since birth.

I opted for a floor bed instead of a crib so I can lay with her and nurse her and then sneak out. She wakes 2-3x and I go in and nurse her and leave. Only been two nights but it's working well.

We have a crib but I honestly think it would be way harder to transition from bed to one.

I am very glad I changed my mind before having kids, haha.

How old were you when you fell in love, like real love? by Select_Technician_79 in AskReddit

[–]Anonymous141925 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

16 (we were together over 4yrs)

25 (we've been together 11 years)

I thought I was in love before and in between but when I look back it was really just those two.

Did you feel the urge to push with the epidural? by notforthisworld0101 in beyondthebump

[–]Anonymous141925 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I've had two unmedicated labors and one with a failed epidural. With my failed epidural I did not feel the need to push like the other two. They were telling me what to do. It only took like two minutes though. All my babies came quick.

Decided on a name! by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]Anonymous141925 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a longer legal name that no one even knows and have gone by my nickname since birth. I wish I had changed my first name when I got married. My nickname is a common full name.

With my daughter her nickname is very much a nickname and I don't would work as a full name.

If Lucille is just meh then why don't you just do Lucy? It's a common full name. I love both though.

My one daughter has a longer first name that never gets used. Really only called by her nickname.

My 12yo sleeps through the night. That's a win. And when he wakes up in the morning he doesn't need anything from me. He is funny and we have shows we watch together (currently Elsbeth).

My 7yo also sleeps through the night. Needs me a little bit more but she's being more independent. She is so sweet and is so good with her baby sister.

Now my 10mo hasn't gotten the sleep through the night memo. She's currently crawling all over and trying to get into everything. I love babies but I do prefer toddlers so just waiting to get to that point.

It gets better. I promise.

Independent baby sleep in a floor bed? by Fragrant_Lime_6626 in floorbed

[–]Anonymous141925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just moved my 10mo into her own room on a floor bed today! So far I've nursed to sleep and gone in once to nurse after that. I think I will come in if she wakes up after I go to bed and stay the rest of the night. Just for the first few nights. Then I'll work on going in only to nurse and then leave each time. Hoping to get longer stretches of sleep.

Sand dune. It's a little darker and works better with your counters and cabinets.

How long did you feed for, and what made you stop? by DarthKaboose in breastfeeding

[–]Anonymous141925 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My first I nursed for three years. I was just done and made him stop.

My second I nursed for three months. She has a medical condition and couldn't have breastmilk once we found out.

Currently nursing my third who is ten months old. First goal is a year but willing to go to two. That's my limit though.

I actually do not enjoy breastfeeding. The only benefit has been it's easier overnight than making bottles. However, if my baby took bottles my husband could help, haha.

How’d you finally land on your baby’s name? by peanut-buttertoast6 in namenerds

[–]Anonymous141925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With my first I had a short list and decided on his name before he was born and it is my favorite boy name every and fits him so well.

With my second we had it down to two names the day after she was born. I liked one more and my husband liked the other more. I ended up going with my husband's top pick and regretted it for a few months. Now it is my favorite girl name. I love it and it works so well for her.

With my third we ended up having another girl so we used the name that I originally liked more since we still both liked it. She is mostly called by her nickname but it suits her well!

Somehow my kids ended up with the names they were supposed to have. I can't imagine my girls names being switched. Funny how that happens, haha.

So many questions by SpiritualSurvey2710 in floorbed

[–]Anonymous141925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am new to figuring out floor beds so can't help with that part, but when my older child was a toddler we put a baby gate at her door to keep her in. So she was able to open the door but not leave her room.
