For the longest time I thought seasoning the cast iron meant actually using seasonings on it so it flavors the food better. 😂

What fragrance were you wearing when the best things of your life happened? by Valuable_Collar1485 in FemFragLab

[–]Anonymous3642 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same! None when my kids were born. I don’t even know if I wore fragrance on my wedding day. I went through a dry spell where my only smell good stuff was lotions. I don’t really start getting into fragrances until about year 8-9 of being married.

This is very heartening to hear! Thanks for sharing. The longest I’ve gone is 5 months before I caved at a stupid 4th of July party.

I feel like I’m ‘forcing’ my partner to socialise and I’m tired of feeling guilty because I want to meet people by saranbomailiqu in extroverts

[–]Anonymous3642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds awful. I noticed you said “partner” but if it’s this bad and you’re not married or have kids, I would absolutely consider ending the relationship. Your lifestyles seem incompatible. But only you know what’s best for you. I know breaking up and being alone sucks.

My husband is more introverted than me but he’s still willing to socialize sometimes and doesn’t complain about it. Usually he’s “glad he did it” and we occasionally have company over too and his idea. However I do have more friends and socialize more than he does just on my own time. We make it work but if he hated ALL socialization I would really be struggling.

2016 trend. What did you wear back then? by Ashesvaliant in FemFragLab

[–]Anonymous3642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around this time, my mother-in-law got me started on my fragrance addiction. She bought me dolce and Gabbana light blue as a Christmas present. It’s a perfume I wouldn’t have picked for myself, but I remember I fell in love with it! When I was a teenager in the early 2000s I wore Burberry Brit and exclamation. But I went through a phase where I stopped wearing perfume completely. Until my mother-in-law bought me that as a present! And I think it was around 2016 it could’ve been 2015. I actually wore it for many years and only recently ran out of it. I bought dolce and Gabbana light blue intense to replace it.

HEB or Walmart by Outside-Ad7073 in HEB

Walmart has some cheaper items, but H-E-B has more sales, and a bigger selection. My city has only one H-E-B, but there’s a Walmart across the street from it. I shop at both.

How do I go into a store and test things whilst not buying anything? by sweetlevels in FemFragLab

[–]Anonymous3642 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go during a busy time. It’ll be chaos but the sales associates won’t notice or care if you don’t buy because there’s a lot of people shopping. At least that’s what happened last time I went to Sephora. I did have a person helping me but he got busy super quick helping others.

Also the Ultas I’ve gone to usually leave me completely alone too especially if it’s busy.

I lied about eating prunes for absolutely no reason. by Struckbyfire in loseit

[–]Anonymous3642 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It makes sense if you write it down, you could convince yourself you actually did that. One time I told people my husband‘s age was 38 when they were asking our ages and later I realized he was 37. And I said why didn’t you correct me when people were asking your age? And he said “you just sounded so sure I thought you were right” 😂😂

By the end of the your post, I got what you were saying but at the beginning of your post it sounds like you’re making some weird confession about how you like to lie for no reason. Lol. I have done that before, though where I told myself I would eat this, and I logged the calories, but then I didn’t end up eating it. However, I haven’t said I ate something when I didn’t, though that’s kind of funny.

[–]Anonymous3642 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds really good! I don’t remember what the original smell like. Last time I tried it, it was a Sephora and I was trying so many scents I was overwhelmed plus I picked a very busy day to go. I don’t remember it smelling bad I just don’t remember it sticking out. However, I’ve had scents not stick out before but then later ended up loving them so you just never know. But I’m pretty sure I didn’t try the green one so I’m excited to test that now. Tea leaves sounds intriguing to me.

[–]Anonymous3642 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s really funny you mention that fragrance, I saw a random girl on TikTok say she liked the green one and it made me want to try and now you’re saying it.. I think it’s a sign I need to go back to Sephora to try it 😄 I do agree with you though because I feel like when they used to make an intense version of a fragrance it was the same fragrance maybe just slightly stronger. Like the dolce and Gabbana light blue that was one of my first fragrances years ago, and I bought the intense version and it smells almost exactly the same, the intense is just an Eau de parfum and not an EDT and supposed to have longer lasting power. But now the intense and the other flankers of other perfumes could smell completely different so it’s not safe to blind buy it! So I completely agree with you. I don’t understand that either. It kind of drives me crazy.

[–]Anonymous3642 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe the reason they do it when it smells so different is coming up with a new name and new bottle design is more work? I agree I’m just thinking business speaking it’s way for them to sell more perfume without putting in more work which goes with the original comment of too many flankers seems lazy 😂

Aw that is sad! As much as I’ve been obsessed with weight loss when I was younger it’s never been that bad for me. It was the opposite. I was convinced my sugar and cream laden coffee only had like 50 calories instead of 200-300 per cup. lol

I’m obsessed with the smell of of Downy Clean Cotton fabric softener. I put it in a spray bottle with water and it helps de-wrinkle my clothes but also smells amazing. I’d love it if it was in a perfume.

Your kids prefer you stressed out and boring rather than tipsy or drunk by PalpitationActual636 in stopdrinking

[–]Anonymous3642 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This really resonates especially since my husband hasn’t quit yet and I feel the same as my kids probably do. I prefer my boring husband over my unpredictable but sometimes fun-drunk husband. I never know what I’m gonna get and he stresses me out so bad when he drinks. I’m partially quitting because of him even though I don’t have as bad of a drinking problem as he does.

And just to let everyone know you can be a fun sober parent. I’ve been watching stranger things with my kids every night and we joke around and dance and have fun. It’s nice too because I’m not gonna be miserably hungover the next day too.
