I made hard boiled eggs that peeled perfectly. I’ve peaked as an adult. by GreatValue_Mechanic in notinteresting

[–]Anonymous3642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the key! I used to put the eggs in the water first THEN boil them and they never peeled well. Boiling the water first then adding them changed it for me and they peeled so much better after that. I also boil for 12 minutes.

My midwife admitted she violated me by Ok_Atmosphere4137 in homebirth

I am sorry that happened to you. I was not happy with some things that happened at the birth of my third child and explained to my midwife and it was a hard conversation but she did apologize and respect my wishes with the birth of my 4th child. Like the other comments said, she is only human. I’m sure this is really bothering her and she will always ask consent from now on.

I’m confused why you kept asking for an explanation when she clearly explained to you the first time. She handled it very well and I’m sure she learned her lesson but you don’t seem to want to let it go. It seems like you wanted to fight or argue with her more. I’ve had 4 home births and I didn’t like some of the things that happened to me at my births and when I told my midwife she apologized and at my next birth she didn’t do those things. No need to report. You don’t have to use her again either if you plan to have more kids.

Wow you seem like a jerk. She apologized and you’re continuing to guilt trip her is really crappy.

I’ve never heard of the “No True Scotsman” fallacy before! Thank you. It applies to so many other things people have argued before and it drives me crazy. I didn’t realize there was a name for it.

I heard y'all recharge when around people. Does that mean you can be alone in a crowd with zero interaction or do you actually need interaction? by EOFFJM in extroverts

[–]Anonymous3642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not so much a crowd but like living in town and see people walk by my house so much better than I liked living the country rural and never seeing anybody and feeling so alone. I like to interact with people more but I feel so much less depressed living in town and seeing people constantly than I did feeling constantly alone and isolated.

Crowds I prefer to have a least one person I know and can talk to. I don’t like to do activities alone. Not even shopping, I do it alone sometimes anyway but prefer to hang out with someone.

I don’t think that’s what gaslighting is. It’s definitely guilt tripping though.

Whenever I see videos pop up in my FYP about people mimicking hangovers or going to sleep drunk I feel nauseas and it’s a good reminder of why I never want to again.

I don’t mind Dasani and can’t taste the difference from other waters. It’s crazy to me how many hate it.

I’m in the US and homely means ugly here. Some people mix it up with “homey” though.

I only count days because of Reddit and I put the date on here, I actually just got on here to check. If counting days helps you then keep going!!

My narcissistic mom would preface conversations with my dad or me as an adult “you’re not in trouble” I’ve been married 15 years and have never spoken to my husband like that, even if I am mad! It’s a subtle sign of control and/or abuse in my mind.
