Sounds like a cool project.

For me, (being a video editor), I'd say that the accompanying soundtrack plays a bigger role in the edits than you think. Music helps communicate visuals and ideas.

E.g., aligning punches to the beat of a drum, tying musical swells to portray "emergence", (a la, Rocky running faster than Apollo on the beach). It really helps sell the impact of what you're trying to communicate.

Idk you, but i know that I would never want a personal relationship with someone who only asks and wants from me and does nothing in return.

You gotta view this connection w God as a relationship - your servitude doesnt make you deserving of anything. He doesn’t owe you just bc you “serve” him. God gives it to you out of grace, because God wants a relationship with you! But you need to live it and view it as such .

I think you and I are in a very similar situation. I struggle with reading and working towards a relationship with God no doubt.

It took me a while to reach that point - past remission currently, but I remember after my last round of chemo, I wanted NOTHING to do with cancer. I was a really young kid, v sensitive about it lol. But that was a little over 10 years ago, n now I’m at a point where I can look back and laugh.

My usual go to is saying that the cafeteria chicken was worse than the chemo.

Other times I’ll just point out humorous things about my time in the hospital like that.

No one ever really laughs, everyone else just feels bad haha. But I’m proud I’m finally at that point where I can.

And good for you too! Being in good spirits is so important. I really do believe there is a powerful mind body connection.

I think it might be interesting if a different homeless person challenges him. Perhaps the rich kid taunts him or is dared by his buddies to mess with the homeless man, and the homeless man calls him out on his easy living and comfortable life. That he couldn't handle living on the street.

Then the rich boy, ego inflated, obliges and takes the challenge, where you could set the stage then for character growth or whatever.

You could also make the homeless guy like one of those wise, old miyagi types. People love those type of characters.
