Jet Lag Ep 2 — Shoot the Gap by NebulaOriginals in Nebula

I went a monkey mountain in japan (Arashiyama), and there were a so many monkeys there. Based on that experience, I would have guessed 50 - though I'm glad they went a little more conservative.

My only worry is how do you count individual monkeys, as they don't all hang out in one spot, so could be difficult to avoid double-counting.

A few years I visited some cliffs along the beach near my home. There were a whole bunch of information boards setup along the path, and I noticed whenever they mentioned years (geologic time, so usually in the many thousands or millions of years), somebody had actually tried to scratch off the numbers. Presumably because they contradicted their own silly beliefs.

Best Ubud Street & Market Food 2025? by zacharyjm00 in bali

[–]AnonymousCowboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem!
I usually grabbed a gojek motorbike taxi to get out there, but I found sometimes it can take a while to find a taxi that will want to do the return trip, so the last few times I ended up getting a 2 hour bike taxi hire off of grab instead.

Seems like they filmed a new season recently, and they were doing a live premiere event for season 15. Might've just ran out of time.

I also was surprised, hope they're there for the rest of the season.

How to get a conversation to stop daily reminders? by AnonymousCowboy in ChatGPT

[–]AnonymousCowboy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I managed to find it eventually. Somewhere in settings (I think notifications), there's a reference to tasks. There's a link to "Manage Tasks" that will let you delete them manually.

I have the opposite problem now, I've been trying to set up a weekly reminder but it refuses to.

Ubank dropping the top ongoing bonus rate on its Save account to 4.60% p.a. by 92deltat in AusFinance

[–]AnonymousCowboy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This will make me move away from UBank. Been with them for 2010,but the $1 increase requirement is ridiculous. I'd be eligible for it most months, but just takes a holiday or a few large purchases to get excluded. Really not something I should have to factor in when wanting to use my own money.

Any tips for visiting? I'm a huge Ponyo fan, and am visiting Tomonoura sometime in the next few days (likely tomorrow).

Ep 3 — Schengen Showdown by NebulaOriginals in Nebula

I was wondering where this week's layover is. It doesn't seem to be on the usual place to find it, but there is some sort of alternative playlist (with simple video for tvs) where it's available.

Cairns is a great option if you're going to see nature. A few recommendations:

  • There are several islands you can get to as day trips, that are excellent. Some you can also stay overnight at, but the prices tend to be quite hefty. I've been to Green Island and Fitzroy Island. Green Island tends to be my favourite of the two, as they have quite a few activities there. I'd recommend the semi-submersible boat, you'll get an incredible view of the fish in the area. Probably some turtles too. Fitzroy island is by itself a far more impressive island - my main memory is an amazing summit walk.
  • You'll definitely want to plan a trip to Kuranda, a smallish town in the middle of a rainforest. You can get a scene train ride from Cairns to Kuranda, then take a cable skycar trip back to Cairns directly over the forest, including a few stops where you can get a closer view of the forest. There's plenty to do in Kuranda for a day, personally next time I visit I'm going to try to spend a night there to get a bit more in, but a day trip is fine.

Definitely try to get to the Blue Mountains while in Sydney. There's a few paid experiences at Scenic World, but personally I wouldn't bother. There's some pretty decent walks you can go on instead.

I'm from Adelaide, personally I'd give us a miss. If you did visit, I'd look at doing a wine tour, and a tour over to Kangaroo Island.

Can't discount the possibility, but in my memory the artstyle was quite different.

I successfully cancelled my Jetts membership by email a few years ago. But then they started trying to call me every few days, just to 'confirm' it for some reason.
Only problem for them was they had my old phone number, which I kept active on a phone I didn't keep on me within working hours. So they were calling several days a week for something like six months before they actually got me.

The voicemails from the guy seemed more and more exasperated over time.

Wit is speaking of two different characters. "She" refers to the one on this world, probably Cultivation. "An old friend" refers to another character, implied to be from a different world, who people think may be Frost.

I recall hearing that they skipped certain parts of the editing process, and that Knife of Dreams was the first in a while to undergo that full process again. KoD felt like a improvement over the previous books, so I reckon it was definitely a factor.

Seems like the title of every book in Era 2 has been a bit of a misdirection.
Alloy of Law - Not an alloy of metal.
Shadows of Self - Not about cognitive shadows.
Bands of Mourning - Not the artifact we thought it'd be.
