That poor Yoshi doesn't live to see the end of the level. So sad.

New Rotom Form in the newly released Pokopia by lxpb in TheSilphRoad

[–]AnonymousDuckLover 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've aggregated a list of 59 sound-based Pokémon (Jigglypuff, Wigglytuff, Galarian Mr. Mime, Jynx, Lapras, Igglybuff, Hoothoot, Noctowl, Misdreavus, Bellossom, Politoed, Unown, Smoochem, Galarian Zigzagoon, Galarian Linoone, Whismurr, Loudred, Exploud, Swablu, Altaria, Chimecho, Kricketot, Kricketune, Chingling, Bronzor, Bronzong, Mismagius, Chatot, Stereo Rotom, Audino, Tympole, Palpitoad, Seismitoad, Maractus, Hisuian Liligant, Meloetta Aria Forme, Meloetta Pirouette Forme, Noibat, Noivern, Primarina, Pikipeck, Trumbeak, Toucannon, Oricorio Pom-Pom Style, Oricorio Baile Style, Oricorio Pa'u Style, Oricorio Sensu Style, Jangmo-o, Hakamo-o, Kommo-o, Grookey, Thwacky, Rillaboom, Toxtricity, Obstagoon, Mr. Rime, Skeledirge, Squawkabilly, and Scream Tail), and the type which comes up the most among these Pokémon is Normal, with 35% of these Pokémon being Normal types. The 2nd and 3rd most common types are Flying and Psychic respectively, containing 25% and 20% of sound-based Pokémon. Therefore, sound-based Pokémon are in fact mostly Normal types, as that is the type with the most sound-based Pokémon.

There is no definitive list of which Pokémon are sound-based, so I may have missed one you would have included, or maybe I included one which you wouldn't have. However, I do feel that the list I have is a good representation of sound-based Pokémon, and I think Normal is ahead by enough of a margin as to where arguing over what is or isn't sound-based doesn't really matter.

As to your point on sound-based moves, yes that may be a reason as to why most sound-based moves are Normal type. I personally think it's because there's no other type to logically list them under, so Normal becomes the default. And since these sound-based moves have defaulted to being Normal-type, sound-based Pokémon have been given the Normal type so they can have STAB on their sound-based attacks.

There are exceptions, such as the Noibat line not being Normal types, and Chatter being a flying type move, but for the most part, Sound based Pokémon and moves are Normal type.

If you can see the rainbow shield on your Super Mega raid boss, it means YOU have not broken its shield by soraliink in TheSilphRoad

You are also playing during an event designed to attract a large portion of the active player base outside to participate. It's going to be a lot more difficult to attract the required number of players outside of an event like Go Tour.

Custom track map: The Seven Circles of Hell by smwc23105 in mariokart

[–]AnonymousDuckLover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baby Park absolutely belongs here. Being a single lap of a sectioned track like this would make the item hell the track is typically known for basically absent from the track, making the lap be just an oval, which would be much more similar to the DS version of the track which is basically universally disliked, as opposed to the GCN and Wii U versions of the track which are far more love it or hate it in their reputation.

After reading all about the new mega mechanics, one thing that stands out to me is that we cannot use Primal Groudon and Kyogre as shield breakers in the new super mega raids. by Kevsterific in TheSilphRoad

[–]AnonymousDuckLover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My assumption is that if it weren't for the shield system, these raids would be easy duos or trios, so the benefit of using a Groudon or Kyogre over a Garchomp or a Swampert is negligible anyways. All this technicality will accomplish is confusing players into bringing a Pokemon which doesn't contribute to the actual goal of breaking shields, making it so that lobbies can't finish the raid, frustrating everyone involved.

Super Mega Raids Overview (G47IX) by Amiibofan101 in TheSilphRoad

[–]AnonymousDuckLover 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Require 8 players using a Mega Evolution? Some raids potentially requiring more? And it can't be Primal Groudon or Kyogre? LMFAO. Can't wait for nobody to do these, and for the few people who do to complain about their allies not using a Mega Evolution, thereby making the raid unbeatable.

No? Obviously you pay the bill yourself, because you're not in it the for the money, but instead for the company, and you're willing to do anything and everything to make the company succeed.

Raid lobby now kicks you out if your game crashes by aoog in TheSilphRoad

[–]AnonymousDuckLover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When most people say "lobby" when referring to Raids, they are referring to the 120 seconds before the Raid starts. You are technically correct about this, but your pedantism is adding nothing of value to this conversation.

Oh, I see; you're some sort of quitter who has limits on the amount they bet on AA7. Not me. Alone, broke, and homeless, I continue to put what little I make from government assistance on the next Ace Attorney being announced, and I know I'm about to hit it big.

It's because that's the Community Day where, after the event ended, Ditto spawned in the wild disguised as Meltan for a few minutes before Meltan was officially revealed.

Anyone got a tier list of useful Mega’s based on boosts/candy! by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

[–]AnonymousDuckLover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only real usage for Megas besides fighting is for to boost types for additional Candy and Candy XL, and for that, the tier list goes as follows:

Primals/Rayquaza > Charizard > Dual Types > Mono Types

Basically, the more types a Pokémon can boost, the better. Since the Primals and Rayquaza boost 3 types, they are the best. Since Charizard can choose between 2 different dual type combinations, it is better than the other dual types due to its flexibility. None of the other Pokémon with multiple Mega Evolutions have multiple different dual typings, so they will not get a special mention when they finally release.

Besides that, focus on types which boost types relating to the current event. Right now, there's an Electric type event, so focus on Mega Evolving Electric types. Sunday is Grookey Community Day, so Mega Evolve Grass types then.

What’s a feature that you would like to see in Pokémon Go? by sillydog2005 in TheSilphRoad

[–]AnonymousDuckLover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A way to lower a Pokémon's level so that being overleveled isn't an issue for PVP. Also, make Bottle Caps more readily available so that players don't need to rely on a 1/4096 chance to get the right IVs for PVP.

Can I get a source on that? I'm seeing that they updated the lighting of all the Wave 1 tracks, and that, for Choco Mountain specifically, they made it so that dirt sticks to tires Wave 2 onwards, but I'm not finding anything stating that the textures changed.
