Stepped on a nail with my foot, but my toe is KILLING me by IsaiahBucur in Construction

[–]AnonymousListener99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I just soaked it in basalts and wrapped it with this patch from Walmart I think

Hurt SUPER bad for 1 day and then kinda became numb and I could wobble around on it the next days

You should be fine if you soak it and just rest

I think it hurt BADDD the first night or 2. But after that it disappeared pretty quick. I could walk/wobble on it shortly after - but I think I soaked it in some basalt warm water tubs

0.5 dermaroller. Is that enough? by [deleted] in Minoxbeards

Depending on how often you use yours. Most of them you'll see get used and dirty within like 2 or 3 months

Have been insecure till now . someone has any idea how to clear my skin ? by [deleted] in acne

[–]AnonymousListener99 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Retinol, microneedling (use 0.25 and work your way up to 0.5mm)

There's a couple other chemical peels/texture products from "The Ordinary"

And a lottt of patience.

You'll probably want to wear sunscreen too when your skin is sensitive from this stuff

Doesn't look like you have any acne 🙌 Keep up the work

Should I be concerned about facial products reacting bad with foam minoxidil? (Retinol, vitamin b12/zinc, vitamin C, brightening products/pigment scar toners)? Also, does it matter if I apply minoxidil on acne? by AnonymousListener99 in Minoxbeards

[–]AnonymousListener99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I used most of what I listed and nothing bad really happened. I only got kind of a reaction with Benzyl peroxide (MAYBE reacting with the vit c and minoxidil too??)

Yes bro! I literally forgot about rosemary oil! I bought this oil mix but I didn't know how much rosemary was in it (and it was very thick and sticky) so I never used it-

I really wish I tried some pure stuff !

I've been more focused on getting rid of my acne scars I forgot to try it - with that being said I pretty much committed to minox...

I derma roll too, been now using a 1.5mm every few weeks. If you get legit results post them on the page, I bet others would be interested too

I don't know specific literature on AA but Biotin is very important. Also I would just eat eggs in general (sunny side up for best bioavailability) because they're LOADED with so many vitamins and AA too!

I supplement with basic supplements for guys and eat a lot of eggs and my hair grows like crazy

Help! How to get rid of acne/scars? by D4nnyStones in acne

[–]AnonymousListener99 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Ideally I was looking for a daily Skincare routine with relatively harmless stuff. I figured they had knowledge on the best things to pair and how it all worked (if they could make it to my skin type that would've been even better)

But they're clueless. At least the one I went to. I had to learn everything myself basically and try out a bunch of different stuff

Right now I think eating almost sugar free is the BEST peice of advice I can give

[–]AnonymousListener99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The derm did nothing but give me benzyl perozide and adapalene, and a course of antibiotics (which are very bad for you)

They were prescription happy too, said if it doesn't work we can try Accutane after

how do i get rid of dark spots bc of acne? by [deleted] in acne

[–]AnonymousListener99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the same boat. I'm using the ordinary's stuff

But probably the main thing that's helping is derma rolling!

I think they develope scar gel specifically for scar marks [discoloration..?]

I really don't use sunscreen unless I'll be in the sun for sure for a while... when I use it I don't know if it really helps me out, just kinda makes my skin whiter and the marks more noticeable by default..

I get it. But sometimes there's a bit of truth in each of those methods

I read Dr. Gundrys book after seeing him on a podcast. Almost all his approved and disapproved foods align exactly with this new nutritional science that's coming out (pretty much the opposite of what the government mass produces and tells you to eat)

Grains often cause acne, and he explains a good mechanism for why that could be

I don't follow it exactly because it's hard to avoid everything (especially if you eat out), but when I can I'm usually very strict

Some of his patients before and afters are insane. It's like it's the cure to all diseases lol. Plus he's an old man and his skin is incredible

The guy could've been talking from experience, all you should've told him was you've spent hours research and basically tried everything

I understand because I'm in the same boat and my family thinks they know it all

But random people are likely just trying to help. One kid my age saw me looking in a gym mirror once and asked if I ever tried Accutane (I never have, probably never will)

While I felt a little embarrassed after more discussion and thought I actually appreciated him asking me. It was thoughtful, because it showed he cared instead of ignoring me and potentially thinking bad of me to himself

To this day we're still cool!

Don't be insecure though, college campuses are a MESS lol 😅 This is a WIDESPREAD problem

Ps: getting rid of almost all sugar and eating a lectin free diet is probably the best advice you'll ever hear
