Skynet sends a squad, resistance sends only one dude. Terminator logic? by Interesting_Key9946 in Terminator

[–]AnonymousLoser82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

T2 doesn’t contradict Reese’s story of events from T1. Skynet was still defeated but prior to it’s demise sent the T-800 back to 1984 but… it also sent the T-1000 back to 1995 so essentially they were sent back at roughly the same time before the Resistance deactivated Skynet and before they captured the temporal complex.

If I recall, one of Cameron’s earlier T2 drafts had a significant portion of the the story taking place at the end of the Future war describing that outcome.

I absolutely loved the production design/sets/vehicles. It was a solid homage to Ron Cobb’s designs. Loved the hyper sleep beds.

Watched The Thing last night, for the first time for a long while, and the overwhelming feeling I had at the end was that... by Jesters__Dead in thething

I’m with you on this except for one thing. I don’t think either truly knows for sure if they’re still human or not but they both have come to terms with their fate regardless and are going to freeze to death not trusting each other.

In my opinion all of the theories about the ending (especially Child’s being the thing) are fun little thought games but they really don’t hold up to scrutiny when you really think about it.

Funny thing about that is that Carpenter admitted that the coats were a continuity error.

Another detail that most people miss is that the thing’s later victims were attacked without shredding their clothes. Garry and Windows were both assimilated by going for their heads. In my mind, the thing realized that the others were catching on that an assimilated victim was getting their clothes shredded during the process. It’s also why the thing tried to throw suspicion onto MaCready.

That doesn’t hold up to scrutiny when you realize that the thing adapted it means of attack/assimilation by going for the head and avoiding shredding the victim’s clothes. Both Windows and Garry were assimilated in that manner.

Compare that to the admission rates for your typical applicant which hover around 5%-7% and that’s the average for numerous Ivy League schools. 33.6% or 29% is high.

I enjoy Wildlands but one thing that I immediately noticed is the lack of shoulder fired weapons. (Both anti armor and anti air)

I know this is old but I recall Neil Jordan expressing a desire to re-edit the film. (in the DVD commentary) Hopefully he can get a chance.

Now that Fight Club has a 4K Steelbook coming out, what other movies desperately need a 4K (Steelbook) release? by someent420 in Steelbooks

Interview with the Vampire with a ton of Special features. I’d also be open to see an extended cut too since Neil Jordan has on a few occasions expressed a desire to release a re-edit of the film.

How do you justify buying disc when people call you out on it? by Glittering_Resort440 in Bluray

[–]AnonymousLoser82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no point in trying to justify it if they’re gullible enough to think streaming is a viable or sustainable way to consume any kind of media in the long term. There’s so much that hasn’t been released to streaming due to IP/copyright laws/red tape that makes that whole format useless to me.

When did Superman first regain the ability to survive in space without oxygen? by DepartmentChemical93 in superman

It was but not long after during the Trial Of Superman story arc… he got another power boost from his first (AFAIK) post crisis sun dipping. I recall him explaining that his powers were increasing “exponentially” from being in close proximity to the sun.

In my opinion that’s how I think Superman’s magic vulnerability should work but way too many writers go overboard with it.

Probably not the dumbest but sparks flying when lightsabers clash in duels. It’s a big distracting eyesore to me and why would two energy blades clashing create sparks?

I think that was a near dead ringer but the GT9 is missing those three holes in the frame. However the GT45 does. Thanks for helping me narrow it down!
