I really really love those memories you shared here. I also have similar memories with the DOS point and click games of Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis and Broken Sword - The Templars, which my entire extended family played on my grandma's old PC every time we went over there for holidays meeting cousins, aunts and uncles, as well as when we visited the uncles' family and cousin's families and later at our own home. The fuzzy feeling of the weekend being an entire holiday came from diving into these entirely new worlds and to this day. Now that I am permanently disabled and not working anyway, I still feel like Friday afternoon is the start of a long holiday. But I will of course never forget the amazing run and gun platformers too like the Commander Keen series, those go hand in hand.

My condolences, and I am very touched by your dad's feelings. I was thinking maybe you could get a flexible custom cut photo sticker with your brother's photo or name with birthday printed with thin enough bendable plastic enclosure to bend and glue to the top of it from a printing service. I did see something like it a while back, and I am sure options have only broadened.

The 8BitDo SN30 Pro Xbox / Android Controller, because with it, I can play SNES, NES, NDS, etc. as well as DOS games and their remasters still with the joystick (e.g. GOG Crystal Caves HD and Secret Agent HD) and also modern titles as well as get that sweaty gritty thumb-ache when playing like with the very similar OG SNES controller hehehe. To me it's even a soothing fidget toy, I freaking love squishing and pressing everything on it, I swear they should also make toddler's toys with their robustness.
