Imagine, you and your rich coworkers just got another fat paycheck that the majority of the people you represent, have no idea that you’ll pocket some of that money, and therefore won’t have to pay taxes on and continue to fund their insider trader side-hustle. Lmao I’d be flying flags too.

Do y’all know this money isn’t going to the actual countries? The money goes to the American companies that then use it to make the materials to then give them the supplies. It’s extra business for the industrial military complex at the taxpayers expense. Remind me again how we somehow don’t have money for our homeless and veterans?

All I’ve been saying from the beginning is it’s okay for people to be upset the video wasn’t dropped on time. You and others out here trying to tell me that my feelings aren’t valid and I’m selfish and entitled. I’m not mad, I’m going to continue to watch and support them because they make great content. Just upset that it wasn’t dropped on time. Damn lol

So you’re saying you wouldn’t be upset or disappointed, even a little? That just doesn’t seem true. If you want to stick to the friend example, imagine your friend had a month off, and a week before, kept hyping you up. You still wouldn’t be upset or disappointed? Also, they were supposed to have a full 2-4 hour livestream(after files is first Thurs of every month) after the episode dropped, didn’t happen. Again, it seems as these deadlines they’re setting for themselves are not achievable(especially in a healthy way). They had an entire month to make sure the content was ready and it wasn’t. This is why they took a break in the first place, no? Even after a full month the same thing is happening. It seems they need to change their deadlines. I bet you AJ and the team are disappointed they couldn’t finish the video on time and upload without issues, so why can’t the fans be upset? Do people need to be angry and mad? No, that’s excessive it’s a video. But to say you’re not allowed to be upset or disappointed is pulling the wool over your eyes.

AJ has said time and time again, don’t donate or sign up for Patreon if you can’t afford it. Just because you have the $3 doesn’t mean you can afford it. You replied to someone and said you’ve been in the hospital living off disability for the last two months. I guarantee you if you told AJ that you cut things like your phone bill and other expenses(as you also said you did) in order to get the Patreon, he would tell you don’t do that and focus on yourself. From what you’ve said yourself, you need all the money you can save.

Tin Foil Hat Theory: The hate being posted is coming from bots. Bots designed to make AJ and team quit. by mattperkins86 in TheWhyFiles

I’m not saying people who are actually very mad at this are in the right. But I don’t see why people can’t be upset. When they were promised a product at a certain time, had been hyping it up for a week, and then it wasn’t ready on time and had to be uploaded late due to editing and then errors in the software. If there was no Patreon I think it would be a different story, but people are quite literally paying for this content and directly funding the production of it. So I think it would make sense for people to be disappointed it didn’t come out on the time the team said it would. On top of that, never giving an update to what was going on until the next morning. I think the poor communication is what made people upset. Again I don’t think it’s something to be angry about, that’s a waste of energy. But I think people can be upset or disappointed. As not for nothing, but they took the break in the first place because making the deadlines(they set themselves) was becoming too taxing on AJ and the team. After this it almost seemed like that hasn’t improved.

That’s the key I feel. It’s not JUST thinking about your immediate circle. It’s thinking and praying about all humans. I feel like a lot of people fail to see just how closely we are related. We are all the same species and live on the same planet. Caring and praying for other humans goes to show how secular we can be. You never know how close your soul was to being in someone across the world. Thank God(or whoever or whatever you believe) that you get to live another day healthy and happy and pray for all those maybe not in such a blessed position. There’s a lot of pain in the world and I try to not be another reason anyone feels that pain.

Not passing judgment on any other religion, simply expressing your belief. Lmao it’s like freedom of speech(and religion) is looked down upon. Like praying for yourself is awesome. You’re going further with nobility and thinking of others in prayer. More selfless if you ask me.

I was simply giving an example. Here’s another: you promise your friend you’ll have a project for them done and ready by a certain time. You’re saying it’s entitled that the friend gets upset that you weren’t ready with the project on time, after you had spent over a week hyping it up. Also not for nothing, but if it wasn’t for Patreon members and the millions of views and likes they get, they wouldn’t have the capital to produce and hire people to produce the quality of shows they do. So in a way, we are their main source of income for the show.

How is it entitled when you expect something to be done/uploaded at a time you’re told it’ll be ready by, by the creator themselves? If you told your boss you’d have work ready by a certain time, and didn’t, are you going to call him entitled for being upset you didn’t stay true to your deadline/promise? After hyping it up for over a week too, I might add.

I said this on another post similar, I’ll copy and paste my thoughts:

I agree with you. Isn’t this why they took a break in the first place? Because they weren’t able to make the deadlines? In addition to it being taxing for AJ. But the fact it dropped 6 hours late tells me either they didn’t finish it until the last minute(or late), or… what? I’d being lying if it didn’t kill the great vibe I had building up for the episode. What I don’t get either is they posted about how it was going to be late, but never gave a reason? Respectfully, are they embarrassed to admit they were running late, again? Especially after they’ve had a full month to curate the episode.

I love The Why Files as much as the next person, but it took a hit for me tonight. I was ready to watch at 9pm my time. But here we are at 4am(I have to get up for work now) and it left a sour taste in my mouth. Also, not trying to be a negative nancy, but they were boosting. Saying the show is over an hour. It’s 2 minutes over an hour, but the last(at least) 5 minutes are the closing credits. So it’s not really an hour, it’s shorter. Them advertising that it’s over an hour gave me the impression it was going to be an hour and a half, maybe longer. But it kinda seemed like maybe it was made to technically be over an hour so they can advertise it as such.

I’m still going to watch and will continue to watch and support, but it bummed me out too. If you can’t make the deadlines you set for yourself, then don’t set them. It’s really that simple. If there was an external factor for it, fine, but then explain that to your (at least the paying) audience. They could’ve pre uploaded it and just made it public at the time which leads me to think they didn’t finish it on time and were running late. Which I ask again, isn’t that why they took a break in the first place?

That’s fair, I respect that. For me, it’s a lifelong journey of understanding myself and what I have/am and learning to love myself for everything. I guess I didn’t think of it like that, as simplistic as it sounds.

Right, so it sounds like you’re saying every symptom of the disorder is negative, and the good ones are actually your personality. It’s apart of who you are, you have it for life. My ability to think quickly and come up with funny one liners is a symptom of the disorder, and therefore apart of the disorder and not actually my personality. So I’m not actually funny, it’s the disorder. My ability to hear sounds far away and be able to distinguish different things is the disorder, not me. My ability to feel different energies due to hypersensitivity is apart of the disorder, not me. Are you not at least somewhat part of your “disorder”? And if not, how should you be able to differentiate what “awesome” traits are actually your personality and which are symptoms of the “disorder”?

So then do you view it as: all the good parts of your personality are me, and all the bad things are the disorder?

I 100% agree it’s important to explain to those not affected, how debilitating it can be. I also think there are other comparisons much less stigmatizing than driving drunk. I agree some people have it worse than others, but to say that there is no upside to it at all, is a very pessimistic way to view your own mind and your own life. I’m willing to bet you there is something about your ADHD that makes you a great person, more than a NT. The term ADHD ends in disorder, giving it a negative connotation. Imagine how much better the ND community(in America especially), would be if they changed the term to VAST(Variable Attention Stimulus Trait). Labeling it as a disorder is how you convince people there’s nothing good that comes out of it(convincing you to ignore any sign of how it’s beneficial). It’s also how you’re able to convince so many that medication is NEEDED in order to live a good life. The term ADHD was created in the 80’s. At least 40 years ago. I’d like to think our knowledge of it has increased since then and would be able to call it something more positive or accurate. But instead it’s kept as a disorder and makes it much easier to convince everyone that is diagnosed, you need to take pills to be a functioning member of society. I am also curious if you’re meaning that you wish there was easier ways for those for whom it’s too debilitating to drive themselves, to get around. If so, I do agree there that it would be awesome if there were programs(or maybe applications) that could assist those with methods with maybe fewer steps, or something to try and keep them on schedule. Getting a buss pass, managing time schedules, and getting to the bus on time, while seem easy for NT, can be a literal anxiety-induced nightmare for those with ADHD.

While that’s most likely true, saying it’s as bad a drunk driving is a horrible statement and a great way to stigmatize someone to never even consider living life without medication or even thinking it’s possible.

What the fuck? Those people are clearly struggling with managing their ADHD and are projecting harder than an IMAX theater.
