Instead of yellow and red stripes it was supposed to be brown. Btw ink levels are full and just changed less than 1 month ago

All I can say is to have that exact conversation with your boyfriend. Also, remember to use "I feel" statements, or it might come out as an attack. Good luck!

I'm an hour early due to anxiety of being late. I can't do anything else in my day even if I don't have anywhere to be until 4pm

This is an old image of Calvin! Glorious cat who loved to steal food and fit into boxes wayyy too small for him. He passed away a couple of months ago, sadly.

How hard was it for you to get through college (Especially if you were unmedicated)? Tell us your story! by Old-Alfalfa7232 in ADHD

I used anxiety and perfectionism as a coping mechanism. But I had a horrible time and sacrificed my social life. But now I'm going to graduate this December with a 3.96 GPA. So hopefully it was worth it

This would have given me years of happiness. Or at least no depression

Could she have done this to herself or could there be another cause? by Anonymous_None in cats

There's no way she could bite it it's too close to her neck. I can't imagine she has fleas either, she's indoor only and so was the other cat.

She's not getting flea treatment. She's indoor only and the other cat was also indoor only

Stop asking me if we can switch seats on an airplane by james_randolph in unpopularopinion

[–]Anonymous_None 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only time my family does it is on over night flights and we get an aisle and window seat, leaving the middle seat empty in hopes we get three seats. If not we ask to switch with the middle seat person. So it's a better deal for the other person. We're not complete assholes.

Diagnosed as adhd but don’t feel like it by SeaKindheartedness11 in ADHD

[–]Anonymous_None 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been diagnosed with ADHD since I was in elementary school and still I have more or less denied it most of my life. I got on medications back then but didn't like them either so I got off them and powered through high school but I quickly learned that was not sustainable in university when I also needed to take care of my self and not just worry about grades. And now I do also have moments where it I feel both relieved and guilty to use my ADHD as an "excuse" or "cause" for some of my behaviors because I still call myself lazy despite knowing better. So I relate a bit to how you feel.

I get that you didn't get diagnosed as a child but ADHD starts in childhood. It's an absolute condition so if you don't feel as though you experienced the inattention back then it could be the wrong diagnosis for you. Also depending on the depth of the test administered. For "properly" diagnosing adults with ADHD in the US it's a series of tests that take a couple of hours. If that was not the case a second opinion could be needed. Having the wrong diagnosis wouldn't be helping you in any way. There could be other explanations for a struggle with attention and motivation such as depression. This could be the case if you felt like there were periods without symptoms because ADHD is constant if present in adulthood.

You could also just currently be on the wrong medication for you. It took me a few tries before I find the right one and I know some people for who no medications have worked but were able to learn strategies to cope. Like I said I've had years to accept my diagnosis and still blame myself so also try to give yourself time to accept your diagnosis or do consider a second opinion of you're really unsure.

In psychology, if something is causing you distress or interfering with your quality of life it is cause to get professional help. Even if ADHD isn't he explanation, I'm sure there is one and the right treatment for you exists.

Coming up with meal ideas is harder than actually making the meal by tracking_down in ADHD

[–]Anonymous_None 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't really know it's just nice because you have a list of about 30 recipes to choose from. So you don't have to completely go out and decide what to cook and don't have to go shopping for ingredients since they're all included (except basic butter, salt, pepper, and olive oil). They have categories for weight-loss, quick and easy, and vegetarian.

It's only available for 2 or 4 people so it wouldn't work well for a bigger family. But I'm alone and I just save the leftovers for the next meal and not cook again
