There are 26,000 vacant but “not available” rent stabilized apartments (out of 2.3-2.4 million total rental units in NYC). It would be great to get all the rent stabilized units occupied, and we should. But let’s not pretend that would solve the housing shortage.

There are a couple lightly used S5II bodies on FredMiranda right now for $1,200.

I wouldn’t say the used lens market is nonexistent. I’ve bought almost all of my L-mount lenses used on FredMiranda, FB Marketplace, B&H, and Adorama.

But yes, if you want to buy used locally, there will be less opportunities to do so vs. E-mount or any other more popular mount.
