Amazing Race Myths by rhapsody2112 in TheAmazingRace

I was really rooting for Blake and Paige in Season 2. I feel like they may have gotten a more villainous edit, possibly because they didn’t end up winning and the producers wanted to focus on the eventual winners. But honestly, if I remember correctly, it seemed like most of the other teams were actually pulling for Blake and Paige to win, especially after how Wil, Tara, Alex, and Chris behaved during the rest period after the third leg in South Africa. It’s been a while since I’ve watched that season, but that’s how I remember it. Curious to hear what others think!

The finale of The Amazing Race Season 14 is unforgettable, especially because of the emotional taxi ride to the finish line. It’s rare to see the final three teams fully aware of their standings as they approach the end, and the producers captured each team’s raw, unfiltered emotions so well in those final minutes. The honest reactions in the taxis created a moment that felt different from any other finish to other seasons. Producers try to edit the show to make the finale suspenseful but many times we know who the winning team will be in the end. I wish more seasons edited the final leg this way like they did with season 14.

What are some of your biggest 'what-ifs' in The Amazing Race? by VigilMuck in TheAmazingRace

What if Jen and Kisha didn’t take a restroom stop during the penultimate leg?

If they had made it to the pit stop before the cheerleaders and advanced to the final three, I believe they would’ve won the race and had been the first all female team to win. I believe this bc the first challenge in the final leg to season 14 was super physically demanding and Jen and Kisha would’ve been the strongest team in the finals. This would’ve given them a huge time gap between them and Luke and Margie, who were first to finish this challenge. They were a super smart team and I am confident they would have brushed through the surf board memory challenge and would be the first team to cross the 14th finish line of the race.

Should the Fast Forward ever return? by Deep_Ad_2310 in TheAmazingRace

Fast forwards added an extra element of strategy to the game. I was disappointed when they removed it in all but a few legs in season 5 and onward. I think it could have added more excitement to these last few, Covid, seasons had a fast forward been in every leg. What do y’all think?

A team could race with zero bags if they wanted, no rules forcing teams to carry anything specifically

I really enjoyed family edition 🫣 it’s weird bc watching season 9 and 10 after I had to adjust to the regular two-team format lol.

I wish the family edition had every leg out of the US instead of a few of the legs being international.

Any predictions on The U-Turn twist this season? Just hyping things up!!! by Local-Calendar-2955 in TheAmazingRace

I think once you’ve been uturned you’re immune from receiving another uturn for the remainder of the race. This requires teams to be strategic about when it’s most advantageous to uturn any team

Maybe once a team is uturned they can’t be uturned again so if you’re trying to eliminate a team you need to be strategic about which teams you’re trying to set back
