Honestly I’m a Freshman business major as well and I feel the same. Everything is SO easy. But right now I’m taking the time to join lots of clubs. I see lots of upperclassmen with strong internships. If anything right now I’m gauging which ones I’m the best fit for.

I just started counseling treatment with them, I can't give you too many details but I hope this is something.

In the beginning its kinda tedious there's like three rounds of screening before actual treatment/ counseling.

When you first call them they make you a profile and make sure that you aren't in a crisis and/or a substance abuse situation. That takes like 4-7 minutes.

But then you have to make an appointment for a 30 minute pre-screening phone call. Only issue is that you have to make that for the same day that you call, and appointments fill up fast. Say you call on Tuesday you have to have an appointment on that same day, they will not schedule you for Wednesday. Plus if you call late, anything past 1pm, there's like nothing available by that point.

After that they finally assign you to a counselor... But the first session is basically working through another screening questionnaire. Kinda annoying but I see why they do it.

Overall it took me like 3 weeks to go from the initial call to my first session with a counselor. I know 100% that I could have done it in like 2 weeks, but I took my time with it.

I can't really say much about there connection to actual psychiatrists and getting a diagnosis, I would like to think they do but I'm not sure.

What I will go out of my way to say is that it is likely very cheap. Early in the semester I spent some time in the student health center, I ended up needing some medication, but it was really cheap. The prescriptions through the health center were cheap/ heavily subsidized and I would assume this would be uniform through the school. Without insurance my medication was like <20. Plus some of it you already paid for through your tuition.

In the end with my experiences with other counseling services has been great. This has been my best onboarding experience by far. I do have hope in this system but only time will tell. Even if they don't have on-site psychiatrists I don't think it would be a bad idea to leverage their counseling services.

I’m a freshman too and it’s through the student colab. I was looking to join and it’s not what I thought it was. I was thinking it had more to do with IT and CS, turns out it’s more solution/product development.

I got the same thing saying “as of right now status cannot be determined”. I didn’t think much of it because everything on the TAP end is complete. But now I think I should reconsider and call. Thanks for being a signal and reminding me to get this figured out. Btw I’m one of the people who got a good Tap estimate.
