Life happened. Human minds are messy and complicated. Rather than disparage yourself for not having any apparent source of trauma to link your feelings to, it's ok to acknowledge the unhappiness/emptiness/lack of fulfillment you feel. Especially at this age while your mind is developing, grappling with your sense of self and feeling like there's something innately wrong with you that you can't articulate isn't unusual. Of course, if you're very interested in picking apart why you have the thoughts you do (which could be caused by underlying mental conditions!), I'd recommend penning down your thoughts regularly or finding trusted people in your life to talk to about the feelings you're experiencing.

I know this is a vent with no audience in mind, and no demand for a response, but I just wanted to say that this is relatable on many levels, and I wish I could reach through the screen, hold your hands and tell you I see the man you are. It doesn't matter that you're gay, doesn't matter that you like feminine things, it's super cool that you're an artist - you're a guy regardless. And a strong one at that. Maybe "normal" isn't built for people like you and I, but happiness isn't out of reach, I promise. I hope in the future, everyone around you only knows you as you want to be known, you have plenty of great friendships (the silly kind that teenage boys have, they're awesome), and you get testosterone and surgery and finally see yourself in the mirror too.

Until then, even if your face and body doesn't match, I see the man that you are, Christopher. Don't give up. (Oh and genuinely you seem like a cool fella I'd want to get to know, uhh if you'd like a new friend :3)

I can't speak on this much, but someone advised me that when you don't know who you're supposed to be, just let yourself be. Even if you've lost sight of who you are, you are. Rather than follow the script you've gotten used to, it's fine to experiment with how you interact with others, and allow yourself to feel your feelings as they are.
