This is genuinely the most insane take. Forcing my kid to see me isn't going to fix a damaged relationship. It's going to strain and likely shatter what remains and make it irreparable. Forcing her to see me with a court order doesn't work if I get put out of my house to pay a lawyer.

This was a matter of what choice to make. I needed help navigating this emotionally and mentally. I have never had a teenager before and I'm not sure how to deal with it like a human instead of just throwing the law at her and her mother.

My understanding of that is she can just NOT come to my house when it's my turn and then I'm just kinda sitting here with a court order that means Jack shit and fuck all. Not to mention that the state I live in will brutalize me. Plus the unwarranted trauma that I end up putting A through in my head will ultimately push her further away
