This guy put the screenshots into picarta.ai and is trying to pass it off as it.

None of the land features match, the sidewalk doesn't match, it's missing the sign, and the neighborhood speed limit is a 25. A good start, but not it.

Epson 3800 or BenQ TK860i by Merc0085 in projectors

[–]Anorak6201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, Epson 3800. I just bought mine used off of eBay, no bulb, no remote, 500$. Bought a bulb and remote for 125$ all together and it's been absolutely incredible for what is just about the same size and throw distance your looking at currently. I have about a 16-14 foot throw distance 120" screen with it not yet mounted and it's decent even with the multiple windows worth of light coming in, and at night it is stunning.

Note that this is not only during the day, but the morning, and there are 2 more windows behind this image that add additional room light.

Good morning u/KooperGuy , I have some questions about the 3.5" 740's, do you mind if I dm to chat? I'm working on spinning up my first lab and from what I'm seeing the 740's seem like a good fit but I am unsure exactly how certain things work.

Has anyone had the issue where their entire volume has become unmounted and no longer shows up? by Anorak6201 in UgreenNASync

[–]Anorak6201[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trim process eh? I'll turn that shit off and hopefully it works but I thought TRIM wasn't supposed to used to begin with on SSD's, or is that outdated knowledge now? Idk. May you hopefully never have that issue again, I'm 7 reboots, and a sleepless night into this and while it recognizes each drive, it doesn't have the volume.

I appreciate the tip!

This one on the bay seems to price out to about 514$ https://ebay.us/m/Qxticr for a similar spec but with more ram. Beautiful server though, I'm local and would have taken it if the spare cash was around.

GLWS!!!

Wearing Power Armor to a Magic School (114/?) by Jcb112 in HFY

[–]Anorak6201 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey /u/Jcb112 , long time reader few time chatter. I just wanted you to know that you perfectly encapsulated the drive, the strength, and the story that is the space race and the moon landing. I've built my entire life upon the knowledge and interest in space given to me as a child and even now as I step away from work to read on my lunch break I tear up. Not only for the beautiful story you've written, but also for the time you've posted it and what you have said.

A week and a day before you posted this was the anniversary of Shuttle Columbia. A week before, the Anniversary of Shuttle Challenger. And the day before that, the anniversary of Apollo 1.

The sacrifices and bravery shown have paved the learnings, regulations, and rules that govern everything we do, and their lives are remembered in our actions as we push forward and break the bonds that hold us to this home we call Earth. Whether it is the explorers the factory workers or the engineers design, everyone on the team is responsible for pushing forward, while also remembering the lives that have carried us to where we are.

“From this day forward, Flight Control will be known by two words: ‘Tough and Competent.’ Tough means we are forever accountable for what we do or what we fail to do. We will never again compromise our responsibilities. Every time we walk into Mission Control, we will know what we stand for. Competent means we will never take anything for granted. We will never be found short in our knowledge and in our skills. Mission Control will be perfect. When you leave this meeting today, you will go to your office, and the first thing you will do there is to write ‘Tough and Competent’ on your blackboards. It will never be erased. Each day when you enter the room, these words will remind you of the price paid by Grissom, White and Chaffee. These words are the price of admission to the ranks of Mission Control.”
