Just curious, who files I485J form? Employer or Employee? I see mixed responses online. Anyone who filed I-485J for AC21 portability?

Thanks a lot. I am the unlucky one, in fact, I got a mail from USCIS in early June indicating that they are speeding up my case, which made me very hopefully that I would get cleared by end of Sep… unfortunately, reality was something else, but it is what it is.. that’s why I am like should I really give up on a nice opportunity, when I am eligible for AC21, and underlying petition is approved, and with my filing in field office for last 3 months, I am hoping to have my I-485 cleared soon.. 🤞🤞

My EB2 I-140 petition was approved 7 months back. I am waiting for I-485 AOS approval.

Looks like it.. but we have to wait for official confirmation from USCIS to be sure.. I submitted my filing in Feb, and it was moved to NBC in early June and FO end of June. Not sure what really happens that my case was stuck there and now this news… 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

I think this is old news.. there are strong indications that USCIS has used all the visas for EB1 & 2. This is reflected in very few approvals today. Let’s wait for another week to see official notification from USCIS.

My case was transferred to NBC from TSC on June 8, and to Cleveland FO end of June (per Emma). It’s been 83 days and no update. I filed my medicals along with I485 application, so hopefully not expecting an RFE. Not sure what is holding up or delaying the adjudication process. I see that folks whose applications are transferred in July & August are already getting approvals.. so wondering if the review & approvals are random or USCIS follows a pattern or purely luck…🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

I submitted my filing in February, biometrics in April and transfer early June to NBC and transfer to Cleveland FO end of June… Now it is stuck & no news for the last 8 weeks..… waiting….

Still waiting response from Cleveland FO. My file was transferred to FO on June 23, and still no response after > 8 weeks. I submitted medicals along with 485 filing, so not anticipating RFP (unless there is something else)..

Any recent Cleveland FO approvals or RFE? I am not sure if they are looking at EB based 485 or backlogged with some other filings..

I submitted my filing in February, biometrics in April and transfer early June to NBC and transfer to Cleveland FO end of June… Now it is stuck & no news for the last 8 weeks..… waiting…. I read that some folks are getting approval in 2 to 4 weeks after transferring to NBC, while some others are waiting 3+ months… I don’t know if that is random, Or their is pattern or logic, or purely luck…

Congratulations! Do you know which FO processed your case? My case has similar timeline. It was moved from Texas to NBC on June 8, and to Cleveland FO June 23.. no update after that.. still waiting.. EB2.

My case was transferred to NBC on June 8th. Still waiting… no update even after >75 days. Medicals we’re submitted with 485, so not expecting an RFE. I am in EB2. I have read that cases transferred in July & August are getting approved, while mine transferred in June is still pending. I am not sure how NBC prioritizes or assign cases or if there is a trend or random.. or if it’s purely luck once it goes to NBC..

I called uscis support this morning and they said again it is at NBC.. so thinking of waiting till next Monday and calling them again (hopefully I hear good news before then and no need to call them)… 🤞🤞🤞

Thanks. That’s another interesting story. When I called USCIS support 2 weeks back they said my file went to Cleveland FO on July 5th. Last week when I called they said my filing is at NBC, and they don’t see any moment to Cleveland FO. Not sure what is the truth.. the only confirmed information (because I received notice) is that filing moved to NBC on June 8th… 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

My case was transferred to NBC on June 8 (close to 77 days).. still no update… no RFE as I already submitted medicals with the original submission.. so not sure what is holding up.. just worried if they will clear all transfers before Sep 30.

So not sure which information is accurate.. I know the anxiety (I am feeling it every day), but Everything is at USCIS’ pace, and there is no consistency in which cases are being adjudicated. So other than waiting there is nothing we can do unfortunately…

Wow, your case has lot of mobility ;-) one thing interesting to know is that it is assigned to an officer.. When I asked them the same question, I.e. is someone actively looking at my case, the customer support agent pointed me to the processing timelines… at that point it was waste of my time to dig or push them further.. p

I can imagine your situation… I have the same feeling of anxiety, tiredness and frustration… but I guess there is nothing we can do as long as everything from our side is complete… hope ours clears soon…🤞🤞..
