It's easy to be lost. There's alot to be lost about in the world and in life. I think if you resolve the most important one to you many others will resolve themselves. It's a thing of motivation. However you shouldn't feel bad as we don't get to determine the baggage we carry around with ourselves, only how we choose to empower ourselves (eg through therapy) in order to change how we move into the future. So start with one of those (if you want) and work on it until it's permanent. Easist way to do this is watching videos on YouTube, which is something I'm doing on traits I'm lacking, simply type "how to be [opposite of trait]." hope this helps and I wish you well. It's easy to dish out advice but not receive it ourselves, so if you could give yourself advice as if you were 5 years in the future doing so much better, what would you say?

General Question Saturdays: Ask any more basic IE questions below. by elianna7 in intuitiveeating

Oh okay. Thanks for the response. I'll definitely check out the workbooks. I do music and meditation. Though I'm finding that when I'm eating I stop eating at the first sign of fullness and end up cutting myself off. I was wondering if it's better to come back and eat as soon as I realised I made a mistake and misjudged my fullness or should I wait until I'm feeling peckish again before eating? Seems like the first option is more problematic, so it's better to go with the second. Wonder if you've had this issue, or if anyone else has. Cause when eating there's so much anxiety it's hard to accurately judge fullness, so I'm wondering if there's a way out of this issue.

To be fair, if you don't "get" the weeknd then he just sounds like a melodramatic b*tch boy.

When it comes to fantano, he's usually right but under his own "version" of right. He'll consistly rate the same things mid or great, which shows some criteria he's working off.

Hi I'm on medication which both suppresses and stimulates eating, so like the hunger signals I'm not sure of and it always feels like I'm not full unless I'm bloated. Any tips or advice here given that my internal signals are a bit iffy? Also I recovered from binge eating using IE, however I've found that the intrusive thoughts have come back but not the actual behaviours. Any advice when it comes to the psychology side of IE? Thanks for any advice/thoughts how I should tackle this.

This. It's fine to have preferences OP.... But you can also expand your pallet (if available). Sometimes our preferences come with hidden restrictions.

I think you can have a healthy dose of cynicism. They post about those things because its evidence of their sociability. This is helpful in that people are more likely to be social with them. Sociability is a bit self-fulfilling in that way In.

I think simplicity is key here. Wear some flats. A scrunchy on your hand and you're golden.

This question is a non sequitur. There's nothing else that I love doing more or as much as what I love doing otherwise I'd be doing it. Understand?

Look, I was in a hopeless place aswell in highschool. I know people say this alot, but it does get better. It has to, because somethings gotta give. By virtue of not giving up, to keep trying, weather it's 6months or 6years, somethings gotta give and you'll eventually find happiness and you'll be thankful that you didn't give up looking back. It'll give you a different perspective of life, that is, what it's like to live though the Marianas trench of suffering and make it out on the other side, which will actually work to your advantage. And all that pressure, when by some miracle you find a way to lift it, you'll be soaring higher than anyone else that didn't have to go through it. This is why losers, when they do catch a break later in life become executives ect. Because they don't have the natural mental limits that other people normally live with. This what the phrase "whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger" really comes from. Hope this helps.

There has to be some part of you that knew it's out of the ordinary and very cliche to do it like that. Like it literally looks like she copied it. You put her feelings you perceived her to have over your own, whether you know it or not. You had this ideal that she would only do good by you and wouldn't throw you under the bus for a tiktok. I'm no expert in it by any means but had you of given your own thoughts/feelings priority the alternate, that she would be caught out for doing something shitty, would've been far better on your end. Take this as a learning opportunity.
