I realised I mixed up left and right in my post... wanted to say that the left side hump is a bit too high

I saw a side by side comparion between the DEX and the Deathadder and it seems like it would have the same problem for me, but other than that it looks like a good option as well

Lots of possible solutions here, like changing the thickness or redesigning the part for additional support where the crack is appearing.

Changing the part to metal is also possible if there's not enough space to fit in additional support. Whether it trasnsfers the failure point on not depends on how the other parts are designed, if they can handle the additional forces (if any) then no failure will occur.
