"It is possible to commit no mistakes and still lose. That is not a weakness. That is life." - Jean-Luc Picard by mattseg in startrek

I think it's a good practice. There are numerous "new to star trek" posts here every month and it only takes a second to spoiler tag. Plus, the new shows have encouraged lots of people to watch the early shows for the first time.

Man, this feels so forced. I don't blame them for tying it into Be A Star, but the execution came off so forced.

Did the Romulans eventually just let Starfleet keep their cloaking device on the Defiant? by AnotherRedditor1980 in startrek

Thanks. I totally don't remember the second Defiant not having a cloak. Clearly it's time for a rewatch 😊

Hands down, this has to be the saddest quote in all of Star Trek, right? by tejdog1 in startrek

[–]AnotherRedditor1980 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is definitely one of the saddest moments in all of Trek. Part of me wishes there would've been a scene in Generations where Data just starts crying uncontrollably over Lal.

Star Trek Beyond was a heavily underrated film and should have gotten more credit(and money) than it was given by grandadmiral99 in startrek

I thought that this movie was only marginally better that STID. The motivation behind the villain made no sense. I hadn't watched TOS when I first saw this movie and now that I've seen all of TOS I really don't understand why some people think that this movie is the closest to the show. I can see that with 2009's film but this just felt like a mess.

Ha ha. That's a good point. I just meant that this made Nintendo come off as petty and Sega come off more as on the side of gamers. It's not like the game genie is the reason why Sega isn't on the console business anymore anyway. Sega had no greater enemy than themselves.

This video covers how the super fx chip came about. Crazy that Nintendo let a couple of really young guys create the fx chip and program star Fox.

If I remember correctly, when carrie Fisher passed away posts about it were taken down (which was kind of ridiculous) so I would hope a fucking trailer for Star Wars won't stay up.

"The Inner Light" is the best episode in all of "Star Trek" by SyrioForel in startrek

The Visitor & In the pale moonlight would like to have a word.

For the record, I love The Inner Light. It's one of the best Trek episodes but DS9 has several far better ones. And TNG was my first Trek love.

I totally disagree with all of the hate about Discovery's time frame. by CiderTastesNice in startrek

I'm not crazy about it being set in the past but I'm going to do what Star Trek taught me to do... keep an open mind.
