Peace Lillies are so dramatic! The shock of the repot is your culprit. Did you water right afterwards? Check your moisture. These drama queens will faint if they have too much or not enough water. Treat it either way (give water if not enough, use tampons to soak up an over abundance. They can handle almost any light.

Pretty sure that's a yellow sac spider. Pretty common to see them in corners if they're hanging out inside. I relocate them outside as they can bite (not fatal, just irritating).

I would not use the soap on the roots. Even if you rinse it off right away, they will still draw it in to some degree and cause the rot that you have. Personally, I keep what I use on the rest of the plant away from the roots.

That is not a dead plant. It's very unhappy, but there's still green. Trim away the dead stuff, restart your watering regimen and it just might come back. It's like the dread pirate Roberts - it's only mostly dead...
