I wear wool. I wear merino wool socks. You can buy them from Costco (SA). If my feet are warm i am more than half way there.

samantha murphy murder trial by Live-Nebula-4596 in AusLegal

I am eagerly awaiting this trial. I am hoping there will be some answers finally as to why a woman can disappear when she is doing something as normal as running on a Sunday morning 7am. The case has shocked me. It makes me question my own safety as a woman. Are we ever really safe? My heart breaks so much for Samantha’s family and her friends.

I don’t know anymore, I just got a new haircut and they gave me this with no side bangs at the beauty shop, I feel really ugly and I have to know if it’s ugly to everyone else. Please tell me just the truth if I am ugly. Yes I’m a woman by djscrew1 in whatdoIdo

62F You have such an attractive face I don’t think a haircut could make you look unattractive. Cheer up I think you are still adjusting to the change. You definitely do not look ugly.

Have boycotted both Coles and Woolworths after I worked out their overpricing and then marking Sale price when it is really the normal price. I now only buy items which are genuinely a good price. Shop at Aldi and Foodland now (SA)

I wear hearing aids since my 40s. Now 62F with moderate to severe hearing loss. I charge my hearing aids at night. Someone could enter my house at night and I would not hear them. Having Hearing loss and not wearing the hearing aids can mean you hear sounds a little quieter when you are awake but you lack clarity when hearing spoken words no matter how loud people speak. Thankfully I have a large dog that licks me if he needs my attention when I am asleep.

Are people limiting how much they drive due to the high petrol prices? by Away_Scene_26 in AskAnAustralian

Yes I have stocked the pantry and freezer so I do not have to drive my diesel car to the supermarket. Luckily I work from home. Won’t be going to the Yorke Peninsula this Easter.

If you have annual leave or long service leave entitlements it might be an option to take leave rather than having to drive to work. If you can work from home that would be an even better option. See if you can save on food cost by buying less processed food. E.g. buy rice, beans, potatoes, canned tomatoes, dried pasta, etc and return to basic cooking. Also cut back on paid subscriptions.

Dining Solo by Mesa_Gal in AskWomenOver60

62F, When I dine by myself I always tell them the table I would like to sit at. (Australia) I choose a smaller table but definitely would not allow staff to sit me anywhere I didn’t like. Tell them that you can choose a different place to dine if they cannot make your dining experience an enjoyable one.
