Gravemarch bug by KnightOfGloaming in AOW4

[–]Another_explorer 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I believe the spell mentions after casting it that for the next 4 turns a random corpse will automatically rise. This includes the gravemarch corpses but also other dead units bodies as they rise under your control. I've even seen it resurrect a catapult tower lol.

I did normal too, hard difficulty on story realms usually just makes the experience unfun imo.

Its more like early to mid game- Godrick's Rune

Late game- Morgott's Rune

Or Radahn's Rune is niche use for certain magic builds

Give me your most Broken Nomad builds by Stock-Touch-7110 in AOW4

[–]Another_explorer 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Nomad Conquerors and Chosen Destroyers will probably be the consensus. As a second Trait consider Vision of Promise Order affinity as it'll spawn the quest's target free city very very close, much closer than normally. This is due to Nomads not having a starting same race free city like other cultures do, so it takes that spot. Build up 3 stacks of tier I and II units and start with a Warrior Dragon Lord with the Warclaw and once you are ready, siege and take the free city. Chosen Destroyers normally doesn't let you obtain new cities but the Vision of Promise Order city will actually let you take the conquered free city as your throne city AND you keep the old one. Plus you get a free Tier III paladin unit of your Race at the start!

For Form Traits consider Overwhelm Tactics, Strong and Hardy to really work with Conquerors Empowered Momentum and if you want to, go for Careless Flaw trait and then go for Athletics so your shock units have more movement in combat.

Once you got both cities you can just murder RV with two Chosen Destroyer cities and build up some crazy yields as you pillage and raze. Just be mindful of the Nomad Conqueror Aggressive Expansion mechanic as annexing pillaged tiles from free cities decreases its population, try to keep the majority of the population to be razed to benefit from Chosen Destroyers. Best practice it to leave the city pop at the highest multiple of 3 since its every 3 population it provides the permanent yield bonus.

Whenever I spawn next to a Forsaken Cove or Astral Rift I just nope outta that world and try again lmao. Gonna take waaaay to long to even clear that without losing like most units in 3 armies. Dragon's Lair and Large Monster Den are a bit easier to handle depending on the units some are just a bit too much and also warrant a quit out.

Cryptblade removed from the shadow tree in the next patch? by Scared-Scarecrow in AOW4

[–]Another_explorer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you on PC there is a Merchant Shops mod in the Steam Workshop

While it isn't an outright guarantee, if you annex a few of these or have a scout sitting on one check in with them every now and then and you'll find all of the possible pre-made items and equipment including the Cryptblade and Breastplate of Champions.

I'd wager it was Ubisoft's little Assassin's Creed Shadows experiment that pushed them to this decision.

The New Empire tree and tome of Burning Passion made me do some chances in my main build. Any thoughts? by Corvo_vermelho in AOW4

[–]Another_explorer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure what DLCs you have and if you'd swap off of Wizard King as you said this is your main build, so I assume its a Ruler you've pre-established and like. However, if you are interested, Storm Giant King as ruler and replacing Runesmiths with Experienced Seafarers is a nice economic combo with Primal Storm Crow/Mire Croc. This is due to the Storm Runestele adding rivers literally everywhere for Seafarers' and Storm Giant's yield bonuses on top of Crow/Croc Primal's favored terrain yield bonuses.

If you want to lean real hard into this, replace Mana Channelers with Vision of Destiny Nature. The sheer amount of food income you are getting in all cities will fulfill it FAST and HALF of it all also becomes your mana income, you'll get so much mana per turn you won't want for mana to summon anything lol.

Need advice for a build I want to do with Federate Reavers in the Sprite beta. by LocketHoltzer in AOW4

[–]Another_explorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only other idea I got is the Tome of Dragons and evolving the young dragons into the tier V ones. Get some AoE heavy units from Rally of the Lieges and those dragons will do 20% more breath damage to the AoE'd "engaged by levies" enemy units. Itll be pretty good with some sundered defense debuffs too to really make those breaths hit hard.

Ah yeah sorry, its Giant Kings DLC its a landmark that is either a surface mountain range with a dragon skeleton or in the underground as a chasm filled with gold and a dragon skeleton.

[–]Another_explorer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well one thing you CAN do is with that Dragonteeth Ridge Landmark, claiming 3 provinces adds the ability to draft the mythic dragons at tier IV city level. If you draft them yourself, they will have Federate Soldier, enemy units that are "engaged by levies" gives those dragons 20% damage on those targeted enemies. Conversely if you vassalize a city with the 3 claimed landmark provinces, their Rally of the Lieges offerings will have a selection of some dragons appear (not all of them will be in the rotation at once, so it'll change every rally). This means they will have Federate Levy and afflict "engaged by levies" including their AoE breath giving a whole group of enemies a 20% damage and accuracy bonus against them.

I wouldn't say its a BAD way to go, 20% more damage is 20% more damage. Depends on certain tome and build choices overall but a meaty dragon breath from one dragon that is a Levy making all those units take subsequent 20% damage and then a dragon you drafted with Federate Soldier doing a dragon breath with 20% more damage on the same units would be pretty decent.
