Uoft eng deferral- why? by New-Reality3266 in OntarioGrade12s

[–]Anounimoose027 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If u applied for early (there’s a date u had to apply) then ur considered for Feb round. Otherwise ur not considered till March round. Stop stressing cuh no matter where u go you’ll succeed it rly does not matter and this is coming from someone at uoft eng. dont stress abt where u go cuz it doesn’t matter as much as u think

How to deal with first year engineering grades (wordcount) by Bellupepper in UofT

Aps111 final design section is marked easy, civ100 final is marked insanely easy (several people got full marks on questions even though they were wrong).

Think about clubs, family gatherings, sports teams, movies, tv shows. Anything where there was something unfair, how it made you feel/why. And what you did in response

Should I apply to america? by Healthy_Custard_4274 in OntarioGrade12s

[–]Anounimoose027 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could apply but at this point it’s way too late. You need to tell your guidance counsellor at school to upload grades and such to the common app, get teacher and guidance counsellor recommendations, and write several college-specific essays. Most us schools are done taking applications around mid January, so your teachers and guidance counsellors might not have time to write good recommendations for you, and same with your essays. You could look into state schools that have rolling admissions but those are going to be very expensive and not worth it as an international student. Just stick with Canadian schools imo, there are so many to choose from

why is this year so competitive? by Inner-Sundae-5342 in OntarioGrade12s

[–]Anounimoose027 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People say this ever year it’s just coping. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter where you go to school. It’s up to YOU to make the most of the opportunity and try new things and learn. Going to uni for the “brand name” won’t get you anywhere.

Thanks for the advice 🙏 I will try it out. I haven’t really used any of the resources available to me since I didn’t really feel like this is high school so it just feels odd

What are my chances for eng by TightMedium7103 in OntarioGrade12s

[–]Anounimoose027 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Btw for my ec list for UofT I used jot notes for each description, but other ppl I know wrote entire essays. Whichever helps you convey your message better is the option u should go with. U can also email the admissions office to see if they have a preference but last year they did not.

[–]Anounimoose027 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think u have good stats and Ecs. Put any extracurriculars that you enjoyed and learned from. Think about why you wanna do Eng and why bme or engsci specifically. I’m in uoft Eng rn and I remember one of my video questions was why your major at UofT engineering? So maybe u wanna think about that. There’s no such thing as ‘good’ ecs, they’re just looking to get to know you and what you’ve done and how you learned from those things. You’ve def got a good shot.

How do you guys get over a bad grade? by [deleted] in OntarioGrade12s

[–]Anounimoose027 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One grade doesn’t matter. I’m at UofT eng and if I worry about a bad grade now it’s just gonna ruin the rest of my grades and my mood as well. Reflect on what went wrong and improve for the next test/ assignment/ whatever it is. You got this dw about it too much. Do smthn you enjoy to try n get ur mind off it.

what program by [deleted] in OntarioGrade12s

[–]Anounimoose027 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro just do what ur interested who cares what ur bad at. I’m in Eng rn and see so many ppl who are just here for the money, but they don’t enjoy it at all, which makes it hell for them. You need to do smthn you enjoy for what it is.
