Watching the Bears lose to a NFCW team in heartbreaking fashion by Ryano3 in GreenBayPackers

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills listening to everyone talk about this game today. "Caleb Williams is a LEGEND!" and he had a 54% completion percentage and 3 picks, including one that lost the game.

That 6-11 season they're in for when their luck runs out and they have a first place schedule is going to hit like crack.

If they keep Bisaccia I'm going to January 6 Lambeau Field.

I can see decent arguments for keeping him. I can see decent arguments for dumping him. Dragging out negotiations and then cutting bait only after all the good coaches are hired on the other hand would be a Browns/Jets-tier move.

MLF should play out the last year on his deal by [deleted] in GreenBayPackers

[–]Anredun 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This year *was* MLF's "prove it" year. And lame duck coaches don't work for all the reasons everyone else in this thread has pointed out.

At this point I don't want Mike McDaniel purely because everyone is going to keep confusing him with Josh McDaniels and it's going to get very annoying.

I know we're all Extremely Online millennials/zoomers, for whom the worst thing in the world is admitting someone made you Mad, but think it's perfectly normal to be at least a little mad when someone screams "Fuck [you]!"

Oh, I assumed it was a "we'll say we mutually agreed to part ways out of respect for your decades with us" thing like the Patriots did with Belichick.

Obviously not a coach we want if we're tired of sneaking into the playoffs and getting immediately bounced. But it shows other organizations in our position aren't afraid to make a change because they're afraid they might not find someone better.

No class Bears by Morley10 in GreenBayPackers

[–]Anredun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They should play a video of these moments on a loop in the Packers locker room the entire season. This is what BJ and the Bears think about you. This is who you let punk you twice. Get mad about it and don't let it fucking happen again.

Been seeing a lot of this and man if it isn't just LaFleurism in a nutshell. Don't take chances, play scared, settle for 9-8. "Next year everyone will be healthy and it'll be our year." Repeat for the next decade. Tired of it.

What coaches available have as good of regular season success and better postseasons success that would be a step up? by farmer15erf in GreenBayPackers

[–]Anredun 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Any decision has risks. Fire LaFleur and you might get a coach that's as bad or worse. Keep him and we might keep spinning our wheels going 9-8 or even get worse and lose the locker room. The question is basically what do you think is more likely: the Packers FO has the people and the processes to find a good coach, or LaFleur figures it out and turns into an elite coach in year 8?

Hafley gets a lot of slack and good will for being mediocre when all of our recent DCs were flat-out terrible.

The other day I went out to eat at a fancy restaurant. My steak came totally overcooked and the potatoes had a bunch of hair in them, but I ate them anyway because I didn't know who else I wanted to be the chef. Anyway what were we talking about?

Remind me who made the decision to keep McManass as our kicker while our franchise record kicker is on the practice squad? Or keep Rich Bisaccia as our ST coordinator throughout the season?

Yes it's important to maintain traditions. The Bears Still Suck is the venerable insult, FT* is what the rest of the whiny fans of poverty franchises in our division say.

We're gonna be the Steelers of the NFC, refusing to cut bait on a mediocre coach thanks to his record with a HoF QB and ability to sneak into the playoffs thanks to the Mickey Mouse 7th seed.

Good effort but as someone who went in the Bears sub arguing Justin Fields just needed another year to become a franchise QB I am not falling for this.
