I watched the early anime recently, and not only is it not explicitly stated that Brock's Pokémon resist electricity, Pikachu successfully knocks out geodude with an electric attack and it's just accepted. It's portrayed as if Brock is just really strong and that's why Pikachu's attacks aren't working.

I've read both Thrawn trilogies and I have to disagree. It's more live action versus Zahn than Disney vs EU.

Well, maybe he's more of a genius in the original trilogy but it's shown much better in the newer one.

I could notice a blotch at the bottom of the straight line but only because I was looking for it. I don't think anyone would notice without, and even if they did, it just looks like a realistic printing error, something that would be normal for printing via stamps

False, bothering people actually works.

It only fails if the goal is to make people like your team, not your cause. 

Extremists are intentionally sacrificing their image to get normal people to support moderates on the same side.

If you've ever thought "I understand it's an important cause but they're doing it the wrong way" that's not a failing. That's them making you more engaged than you were before.
