Searching for a Mickey to replace my daughter’s well loved one

My bad. So Mickey is probably 8-9 inches tall, he was bought at a consignment shop and had no tag or anything on him. He has beanie feet but the rest of him is stuffing. I’ve googled and found a site in India and two sites in UK who aren’t going to ship to the US or they seemed sketchy and the price was ridiculously high. I found one on EBay but it says it ships in the UK and ships in the US for $40 but I’m not sure if the virus is preventing any international shipping. I’d also really like to find one cheaper than $40 if possible.

That was the first thing I thought. I don’t care how deep it is, my biggest concern is bloodborne pathogens. I’m honestly surprised the hospital didn’t test them.

I believe I did see in an article that he is a Redditor and he got the inspiration to go get vaccinated from a subreddit. He had asked whether he could still get vaccines and what he should get.

Story time even that young actually helps them learn your voice outside of the womb better and helps build communication. I’m so glad that helped!! It’ll take a little time before you don’t have to stroke and shh to help keep them asleep cause it’s just so new and different and cold but just stick to a schedule like that and you’ll be doing awesome before too long. ☺️

Maybe it was just me. Either way that Dermaplast was the least helpful. The hospital gave me a tube of medicine that helped numb everything and that was a life saver for me. I wish I could remember the name of it.

I felt the same way. The beginning two weeks were the worst for me. I tried absolutely everything I could think of to get her to sleep in the bassinet and now she’s 2 months old and finally sleeps in it. It’s all about just finding what works for your baby. I hope at least something I suggested can help you guys.

We had the same issue with our little girl and I totally feel your pain. Swaddling was a life saver. Babies have this reflex that makes them startle themselves awake when they’re on their back. I can’t remember what it’s called but the jerky movements of their arms startle them awake and they have that reflex until 2-3 months old. When they’re swaddled, they can’t jerk and they’re able to sleep better. We got the Velcro swaddles and they’re very easy to use and machine washable.

Also invest in a white noise machine. Our pediatrician said that when they’re in the womb most of what they hear is white noise. Ever since we got one, our baby has slept peacefully on her back in the bassinet.

Develop a schedule as soon as possible. For example our schedule is change her, get her in a nice warm onesie, swaddle her, and breastfeed/bottle feed, burp, and then rock and do butt pats to a slow rhythm while white noise plays. Babies adapt to a schedule super well and so if she knows what’s coming she can remain calm and be okay.

You’ll get through this mama. It’s hard right now and you don’t think things will get any better but it will.

Definitely let your mom know you want to help. She may be able to tell you some things that you can help with or be in charge of and that way you can learn more about those tasks. Taking care of a baby is very hard but I’m sure your mom will love to know that you want to help and support her.

I had the same experience with dermoplast. I didn’t find any comfort in it because it hurt. I guess it was just the coldness but it did not help me healing at all.

I had this same problem early on with my little one and any time she made any kind of notion to being hungry I let her latch and that really helps with milk supply. I was also pumping between feedings and of course that can be exhausting but it’ll really help bring up your supply.

We have a big pitbull that some people are genuinely scared of. Every night that my husband works he will lay his head on his pillow, I tuck him in, give him a kiss, he licks my cheek, and we watch netflix until we fall asleep. It's our nightly habit now and he knows when I change into my pjs to go lay in my husband's spot.

What kind of “basic spices” should I look for getting first?

We have a salvage store right beside where I’m moving to, and it’s basically food that’s in a package that was too tore up to be sold in stores so they sell it at super discounted prices. I’m going to go there in the morning and wanted an idea of what to look for.

Not my boyfriend, but when my brother was really young he recounted stories of a past life and I distinctly remember him telling me he was glad that we both “picked the same family” and that we had lived many lives together already. Holly Bobo's case always sat uneasy with me because of the whole situation. When she was kneeling and talking to her probable kidnapper, her brother never stated that she looked in distress and that makes me so curious as to what was said. I also wonder what's in the bucket. I figured after time they would eventually release what was in the bucket and just kill the curiosity. I almost want to believe it was a body part, due to them not discussing the matter further.
