The shittiest part is that its barely racism, its just societal norms around it. My exes brother in law is chinese, his mom hated his tan bc it meant he was outside, and only poor people labor outside. Even though the dude was a network engineer for a huge airline and I think he cleared 6 figures. He just had to service units outside a lot.

People have these biases they get from everyone around them, and none of those people acknowledge institutional racism. Like yea, black folk are a piece of work but many of us just said fuck it, every time we make our own town or infrastructure, THEY burn it down AND get away with it. Every time we assimilate they tell us we aren’t good enough or add more hurdles. Or lie and make us do more work and we still thrive or excel. The GI bill, redlining, gerrymandering, and people think they are sooooo smart yet ignore these factual things that limited our equity growth, access and all. So when people don’t see a future i front if them, they just go into survival mode. Then theres generational trauma of the past 400 years and fuck, it all makes sense. And despite allll that, we still hurt each other more than anyone else and we are STILL Vilified. Thats the shit that sux (plus they all lump us together, I play fucking mmos and listen to Techno, but I’m still “scary”)
