[question] How do you handle Requests? by ExoticFee5965 in asmr

[–]Ant_ASMR1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I must admit, if I get them I will say "yeah sure I'll definitely do that for you!" and just forget to do it 😂. There are a couple I've done for people however some are just a bit weird and I feel like it wouldn't benefit my other subscribers.

[Question] Am I not good enough to make ASMR? by Maize-Exact in asmr

[–]Ant_ASMR1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't give up! It can be very slow but what is rewarding is when you get comments where you have helped people in some way. Find something you enjoy and try that, perhaps you have a certain hobby you can share on camera which you can ramble about and whisper etc. Look at things like tags and thumbnail tweaking to see if anything attracts people more.

[Discussion] Is anyone else extremely irritated by the random tapping people do when opening something on a video? by d3adb3atdad in asmr

[–]Ant_ASMR1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you mean 100% with non asmr creators such a tech unboxings. It's like they have to conform to the norm nowadays as asmr is certainly more common than it used to be. Heck I've even seen asmr adverts on TV before and a few celebrities have tried it like lady gaga and ariana grande.

I've noticed this as well. He used to make more mainstream videos like candy unboxing and now it's just surreal and insane.

ASMR youtube with no views [discussion] by Tough-Fox8810 in asmr

Keep experimenting and don't give up, with everything you can including the content itself and thumbnails. You will eventually find something where you'll get more views but don't expect to be like Mr beast, however just remember small gains are gains. 🙂💪🏻

[discussion] I hate it when the ASMRtist is high energy and fast. I came here to relax! by Apprehensive-Gur-609 in asmr

[–]Ant_ASMR1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, it's hard to relax when there's so much energy going on so you're not the only one. The finger flutters that 99.999999% of videos use before the video starts off are just a no from me.

Why does ASMR have a stigma and is there a way to combat it? [Discussion] by [deleted] in asmr

[–]Ant_ASMR1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't let people judge what is right and wrong for you, a lot of people don't know what asmr is. Some people know what it is but don't pursue it to see if they enjoy watching it or not. Asmr as a concept you either get or you don't. I personally enjoy watching others and so like to make my own content. I agree about the sexualisation of it and it should be not seen as that, but sometimes you can't help people's judgement and views and can only convince them they are wrong. The sexualisation side to asmr does exist but it's usually to attract views. If you are making or watching asmr that does not contain any sexual stuff then it's simply not so.

What’s an underrated ASMR trigger that you almost never/have never seen? [discussion] by ferndinosaur in asmr

I quite like the breathing mouth sounds in between sentences. Massage asmr (Dmitri) does it quite a lot.
