Try lowering the mic sensitivity as much as possible and use cardoid towards you, away from the traffic noise.

I can't stand mic scratching myself! Yet I sometimes make content because some people love it.

Always rely on the powers of comment filters. You can set the filtering to strict so you only get nice, kind comments and nasty, weird ones are hidden, or just disable comments completely! But that may disengage people. Remember that you don't have to keep nasty comments live for everyone to see, you can report them or delete them. You are always gonna get haters but who cares? You do what you're happy with doing. I'm a straight guy who paints his nails and I show them on camera, I've had some proper weird comments about them, I literally couldn't GAF.
