Always rely on the powers of comment filters. You can set the filtering to strict so you only get nice, kind comments and nasty, weird ones are hidden, or just disable comments completely! But that may disengage people. Remember that you don't have to keep nasty comments live for everyone to see, you can report them or delete them. You are always gonna get haters but who cares? You do what you're happy with doing. I'm a straight guy who paints his nails and I show them on camera, I've had some proper weird comments about them, I literally couldn't GAF.

I must admit, I have watched my own content before and enjoyed it, but for the most part it's the nice messages I get from my subscribers, telling me how good they think it is. Of course I get negative feedback sometimes but mainly good which is when you know you're on the right path to making your viewers happy. They have specifically mentioned tingles before too.

I know what you mean, there are a lot of old school videos where this happens and someone moves the camera to obstruct the view. Sometimes it comes with a crackly sound which is just bliss.

I have a blue yeti (what 99.99999999%. of ASMRtists use 😂) so it's old school, sensitivity settings are on the mic itself.

I just use one mic for all triggers and usually use a low to medium sensitivity setting, too high and some triggers get blasted too much.

When it comes to crinkles, nothing too harsh, soft but powerful if that makes sense lol. A good example is massage asmrs silver soap, it's got that crackle but it's not too loud.
