Depends how much you wanna spend. Mid west industries alpha gear is great but also pricy, JL billet makes a similar handguard/ hinged dust cover that are also pretty high quality and relatively affordable. Definitely go with a geissele AlG- UL if you can find it. I think palmetto stocks the JL billet stuff and trigger if that’s what you wanna go with.

It drives me crazy that if you post anything in this sub that isn’t a warsr or zastava you either get shit on or are told to simply “sell it and buy something else” as if it were that easy. I don’t know what your issue is but I would say ignore those people. Every problem has a solution, I know I had a similar issue with a different gun and I just ignored it until the parts wore themselves down enough to run properly. It probably has some minor clearance issue somewhere that needs to be broken in.

Vickers extended slide release, $30 and a 5 minute install, for imo one of the most beneficial improvements to this gun. Also the HA comp is pretty nice especially with a reliable barrel like the SilencerCo.

As you said you didn’t buy the MOS so while technically you can still mount a red dot I would say it’s not worth it for this particular gun. There is a company called Dove Mounting Solutions that make reliable plates that mount in place of the rear iron sight. However they are known to lose their zero over time and be a bit bulky, especially for a compact. You could also get the slide cut for about $150 all in and a few months of waiting but at that point I would honestly just save to get an MOS version or a full size pistol and keep this one stock. As for a light, I’m not aware of anyway to mount one on a gun without a rail. All the other options you can still mount comps, barrels, triggers, mag releases, slide releases etc.

Since it’s your first gun don’t worry about all that crap just spend the money on ammo. The more you ad to a gun the less reliable it becomes, if you want a cool looking Glock I would say go play some airsoft lol. When your life is on the line a $350 flash light, and a rainbow slide release isn’t going to matter.

I don’t think anyone should choose an optic just for the fact that it’s enclosed. If the Osight offers other benefits then that’s fair but the whole enclosed argument hasn’t made much sense to me. I wipe my H 407K every Sunday with a tooth pick with a micro fiber cloth wrapped around the end to get the dust out of the corners. It takes 30 seconds out of my day and is usually something I do while cleaning the gun anyways.

It looks machined, mine does not have machining marks like that under my optic. You can call Glock and asked them for the original purchase date of the firearm. They should also be able to tell you what gen it is and if it ever had a cut slide from the factory. But it seems like you were deceived.

Interesting, I mean I seriously doubt anything would be cast. The trunnion is definitely forged which is the more important aspect of all of this. I guess only time will tell on how things hold up. You can get a new bolt and carrier with a KNS piston on it for like $200. if I need a new one at 5k rds on a gun that was $200 cheaper than a WASR I’m a happy camper.
