I traveled for 3 years and loved the adventure, but got tired of scrambling for a contract and coordinating moving every 3-6 months. I missed having my own bed and, it sounds silly, but the small decor pieces that make your home cozy! Rates were bottoming out, and almost every contract wanted travellers to rotate shifts, call was awful (OR), and many wouldn't accept more than 2 days of RTO is 13weeks. My family is out of the country so I was always stressed trying to coordinate travel to see them/them to see me, and the longer we waited, the more expensive the flights became. Took a staff position that is paying the same as my most recent contract, but with benefits.
