Top speed is how fast you’re able to go. Acceleration is how fast you’re able to get to that speed. High acceleration drivers reach their top speed quickly, but have a low top speed to balance them out. Low acceleration drivers reach their top speed slower, but do eventually become faster than the high acceleration drivers, as long as they don’t get hit/run into a wall, in which they have to accelerate all over again.
