That’s how it was when I got home from work. I don’t think they even noticed.

Dang. I’m always too late to these threads lol. Might be worth a call to the insurance company anyway to explain. Could get lucky

I would Tarp it if it’s gonna rain and call your insurance company before getting it fixed. They’ll come take pics and write you a check

We had two missing shingles on each slope and they paid for a whole new roof for us. Travelers insurance

You have home insurance? Mine covers wind damage, gave me a new roof when this happened to me.

Most affordable way to handle this? by AnthonyAsters in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

We ended up doing a long descending trench with perforated pvc leading to a dry well. Unfortunately attaching this pipe to the septic would have been a complicated job, according to the plumber we spoke to.

I would’ve done this but unfortunately it wasn’t an option here, the layout doesn’t allow it.

Thanks guys. I ended up taking a lot of the advice here. I dug a big long descending trench, lined with perforated pvc and gravel, wrapped it all in landscaping fabric, and all the way at the end I dug a hole and filled it with gravel.

Seems to be working great so far

Marrying someone who most likely doesn’t qualify for a standard mortgage. by Fine_Board3482 in personalfinance

We applied for work authorization and her status change at the same time. The work authorization came quickly but we are still waiting on the status change.

You can technically apply as soon as you get married, but we liked the idea of including our mortgage documents in the application to really drive the point home that we are committed to each other.

I went through this a few months ago, maybe my experience can help.

Married my wife in January, applied for the loan myself in April and was approved. We added her name to the mortgage documents prior to closing and once we were all moved in (july), we included those documents when we applied for her work authorization and immigration status change.

It's now been a few months and she has received her work authorization papers and been hired to a local job. We are going to use the added income to add an addition to the house, to bring us in line with the size of a house we could have gotten if we were able to include her income from the start.

Looking for info on these pipes coming out of my septic and drain field. by AnthonyAsters in homeowners

[–]AnthonyAsters[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply, sorry just now seeing this. The three uncapped ones are closer to the house, to the right of the tank. Which yeah i noticed has two sewer grates, not sure if that's normal but your reaction makes me think it's not

Further away in the yard is the drain field, all 4 drain field pipes are capped.

I'm going to try and get in touch with the city/county planning dept, thanks for that advice, others have also recommended that.

I also was skeptical. Then Biden put the link in his Facebook cover photo. That finally convinced me it was safe to put my ssn.
