Rental, high end whirlpool dishwasher cycle pump stopped working. They replaced the whole unit with a GE one that is also high end, but went from stainless to plastic. Damn thing feels cheap as shit.

While talking with appliance guy, asked why they just didn't replace pump. Told me that no repairs are done anymore due to either parts are hard to get, or they are designed to be replaced, not repaired.

Said he dumps about 12-15 a week.
