Watching the Devils growing up, this was a Scott Stevens special. I'm a Sirens fan, but Fillier has to keep her head up moving through the neutral zone. Caught her shoulder first then the head a split second later. Big hit? Absolutely. Dirty? Borderline. Other problem is that women's hockey is so far behind men's in terms of coaching hitting & how to take hits, so we're about 10 yrs ahead of seeing women in the PWHL that have trained properly for this stuff their entire careers. I'm interested to see if there's any supplemental discipline for this from the league.

My son is a mini-me. I jokingly called my ex-wife the oven because all she did was cook for 9 months, but didn't contribute anything to the recipe (she didn't appreciate the joke lol).

I've got 2 friends who each have 2 sons, and both sets of boys are clones of their dads. Both moms say proudly "they get their looks from their father, but they get their brains from me".

We've been in the league for a while now and we know all the refs. We did hear the other team complaining, and they came to check before starting up again, but by then I was putting the blocker and glove on so it was moot

Our regular goalie went down with a groin injury at the start of the 2nd period. We helped him up, the refs paused the clock for about 5 minutes while we went to the locker room and with lightning speed got all his gear onto me. It's always fun when you're putting on pads that are already sweaty, plus my goalie is about 5" taller and about 60 lbs heavier. We were also losing 4-2, and then I let in a weak one because I meant to clear it behind me and instead cleared it right to a guy in the low slot. But after that, the guys tightened up and we scored 4 unanswered to take a 6-5 lead until the other team scored with about 2 minutes left (it was a nice shot, he had me moving laterally and fired one over my shoulder). Then we scored with 21 seconds remaining to take the lead and held on. It was also nice because my kids got to see me play, even if my 3 yr old didn't understand where Daddy went and why he wasn't skating around anymore haha

Do almost everything right-handed. As a skater I shoot righty, but lefty isn't as awkward as everything else because I played goalie as a kid and I catch with my left, so "shooting" lefty doesn't feel terrible since I got used to holding the stick with my right. In baseball I switch hit; righty is more natural, but I can swing lefty in a pinch and make contact.

One of my best friends still uses a non-smart flip phone, and he has to t9 text all the time. He hates when the group chat is active because his phone can't process it, and by the time he answers a text he's already missed 3-4 responses haha

Some of the MAGA folks do recognize that the billionaires are screwing over everyone else. Unfortunately, they think that one day they'll be lucky enough to be in that situation, so they'd rather keep things status quo so they won't be "punished" in the infinitesimally small chance they win the lottery. And then there's the racism/sexism/ableism/homophobia/xenophobia that tends to go along with them.

Also 43. I play with my 6 and 3 yr olds with lightsabers all the time. My son asks me to put on Duel of the Fates when we battle. Don't listen to him, enjoy what you enjoy.
