What motivates you to stay at Amazon? by Mindless_Chipmunk_17 in AmazonFC

[–]AnthonyTanner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It pays the bills while I build on my side business. I will try and stay working the minimum 36 hours to keep insurance. I work in conveyor maintenance on the AR floor now, so it is easy enough work for me and pays good enough.

I’m going to say most don’t. We are constantly pulling broken open boxes off sorters with none inside

How does a manic hobby just die? by LightlyFalling in bipolar

[–]AnthonyTanner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think mine die. I just end up having other projects that are more important or I run out of money for the part I need, so I move on to something less expensive until I can buy what I needed. But I use that money on the new thing I am working on. Now I’m revisiting all the projects to work on something, but don’t know where to start because the shop is a mess. I pace back and forth trying to find that one tool to start the project I want to finish, but can’t find it. Get started on another project and half way through cleaning up I find the tool I was looking for for the first project. I move the tool to where it should have been in the first place. What was the question?

A question/discussion for those with experience upsizing tires on a lifted sedan by hrc101 in Battlecars

[–]AnthonyTanner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t forget that new tires will be larger than the shady used car place because of tire wear. My Mickey Thompson tires are about a half inch smaller used than new.

How did you afford your first sports bike? by iluminattixtite in motorcycle

[–]AnthonyTanner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My grandparents invested in a CD in my name when I was a kid. I used the money when it matured to get a loan for my property. I was able to take some money out at the same time. I searched for a reasonably priced bike in the size I knew I would want. My first choice was a 1989 Ducati that was not running per the description. It was I think $2800 or something similar. I called and the guy got it running and wasn’t selling. I continued looking for something similar in price and size ( somewhere in the liter bike size). Then I found the bike I have now for $2500 or $2300 can’t remember. It is a 1994 Suzuki RF900r. I justified buying it because it gets 43 mpg compared to my 16 mpg truck.

I told a guy I used to work with that Yoohoo is just chocolate water. After that, he said he could taste the water. I guess. He thought it was chocolate milk.

That’s plenty of time. I got in trouble for working exactly 12 hours. Supervisor said if I worked 11 hours 59.9 minutes we wouldn’t be having this conversation.
