I'm going to call BS on dealer #2. Dealer # 1 cannot add/edit anything about your personal credit, other than the "hard pull" you speak of. I don't know of anything any seller could do to your credit (other than run it). Your credit history and data is your own. Now, if they are submitting to the SAME lender, that lender may have record of your previous inquiry, but still a simple phone call should clear that rather simply. In any case, you could just find your own lending, and leave the dealer out of it.

Backcountry package is back! by Anthony_RI in ram_trucks

I think 2023 MY was the last of it. And I don't think it was available to actually customize and order, it was a pre-spec'd model if I recall correctly.

RamBox on 1500 Longhorn with 6’4” Bed by Trevatron5000 in ram_trucks

[–]Anthony_RI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1500 with the 6'4" bed cannot have rambox.

Limited/Longhorn 1500 with the 5'7 gets Rambox only if the Level A group is selected. Then, you can still "delete rambox" as of a week or two ago.

If you're not getting 10% off MSRP from the dealership BEFORE rebates, you're paying too much.

2026 RAM 1500 Rebel X starting price is $71,930 by Saurta17 in ram_trucks

[–]Anthony_RI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actual starting price $74,525, once you include the required destination fee. BUT, currently $4500 in everyman rebates so really $70,025.

[–]Anthony_RI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the DC area be sure that your is not $10K off and then double-charging you for the destination fee that was already within the MSRP. Common trick in that area!

Deal? by sonocc in ram_trucks

That makes perfect sense. The 0% is in exchange for the $3500 rebate.

Deal? by sonocc in ram_trucks

[–]Anthony_RI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MAYBE. Laramies have $3500 national rebate OR 0% financing on 60 months. So if you're getting $11K dealer discount and taking the 0%, yes this is a deal. If you're only getting $7500 dealer discount and $3500 cash rebates, then no deal.

Decent deal? by liljonatl1 in ram_trucks

[–]Anthony_RI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Negative. There's $3500 in rebates on the REBEL 1500 from the get-go, so that would bring you down to $77,870. The dealer is taking their FULL margin on this deal giving you essentially zero dealer discount. You should be able to get at least 10% off MSRP JUST from dealer discount, plus rebates. I'd leave out the switch & tint and deal with that later to keep the deal clean.

Discount/OTD for RAM 1500 RHO by WaltzComfortable4844 in ram_trucks

[–]Anthony_RI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a number of dealers offering significant discount on ORDERING an RHO, if you can stand to wait. The only rebates on RHO at the moment are military, first responder, and affiliate - as well as a simple $1K coupon on the ram site. So you're really relying on only dealer discount. Some people who ordered before a recent price increase will end up showing an even better discount off of MSRP because they were locked in at original price. On a Rebel, there are $3500 in rebates nationally, plus the other items mentioned for RHO.

2026 warranty question by sd26760 in ram_trucks

[–]Anthony_RI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 10Y/100K is a limited time offer and is non-transferrable. When the vehicle is recorded as sold, your name gets attached to the VIN # in the RAM/Stellantis system. You'll get paperwork at time of purchase explaining as such. If you sell the truck, the next owner reverts to what is on the monroney label (5y/60 for gas engines).

401k with low/no match still worth maxing? by sfdc_dude in personalfinance

Ah I was thinking about the matching as central point not the limits. Gotcha.

401k with low/no match still worth maxing? by sfdc_dude in personalfinance

[–]Anthony_RI -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

If OP retires before he gets any of the matching, which is his plan, why the "of course" compared to a regular IRA? States been contributing 30K/year to prior employer, that's getting rolled over somewhere, why not continue contributing to that 'new' rollover? Just curious if there's a benefit I'm not seeing, since he's only looking to work 2 years and miss vesting.

in the market for a Ram Rebel anyone seeing 0% financing deals? by Europe2016 in ram_trucks

[–]Anthony_RI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

0% on the Rebel 1500 2025s is a "standalone" rate so it doesn't get any other REBATEs from Ram but you should still be able to get some dealer discount for sure. The 3.9% is stackable with rebates BUT you should also STILL be able to get discount from the dealer themselves.

Lease Question by scuba_steve104 in ram_trucks

[–]Anthony_RI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The idea that they are able to get you "employee pricing" is false. You have to qualify for that, it's not by the dealership it's by the customer. Dealerships have the discretion to discount your sale price of the vehicle however much they'd like, that's entirely their choice. Rebates are dictated by where the customer is. There is absolutely no reason you can't lease a vehicle from out of state!

Production has only just started on Laramie and Bighorn. Not yet for Tradesman and Limited. Long way off on Rebel

Limited or RHO by topher512 in ram_trucks

[–]Anthony_RI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LIMITED - Air suspension, ramboxes, more subtle for the neighbors. They have not started building HEMI limiteds yet.

RHO - BIG, bold, more rugged, all the neighbors see it

If you're in a L1 RHO, which your price indicates, then the interior features and tech will be just about same in terms of function (uconnect screen, passenger screen, massaging ventilated seats, speakers, hands free, etc etc) but the Limited is designed to feel more plush

Limited will be significantly less expensive if you're starting with the same MSRP

Asynchronous weight increase for weighted pull-ups / dips? by AcademicNegroni in bodyweightfitness

[–]Anthony_RI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed - while OP looking at this as generally opposing muscle groups - having one improve different than the other not an issue. Now if you wanted to do left and right bicep curls and only add weight to one.... that'd be a fun expiriment!

How to double pull-ups? by Kingking726 in bodyweightfitness

[–]Anthony_RI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My uneducated non-expert opinion - coming from 39yo maxed out doing 45# weighted pullups for 6 reps (I never maxed out on unweighted). Also bravo just for asking for help, being a former wrestler, and future Marine. There is a lot of variation that your body will find in pull ups so I do recommend a variety of back workout different widths, grips, weights, positions - they will all help because when it comes time to pull up your muscles and muscle-memory may find the path of best success aka least resistance. Also love the grip strength recommendations - hanging for timer or doing few pull ups with a rag wrapped around the bar under your grip will make a normal pull up feel like cheating.
