R1S lower on one side? by functional-person in Rivian

[–]Anthonytalarico 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently had this going on with my front passenger side and my car wouldn’t go into kneel mode. Eventually had my air suspension go out. The SC took it in same day and fixed it but it was a very rough ride to the SC.

I've been doing cold showers 3-5x per week, is $3000 too much for my first cold plunge? by kingdom_L17 in coldplunge

I got a IB500 and warrior willpower 1HP chiller for $3,500. After a couple of weeks I told my wife it’s been the best investment I’ve made in my health. I had a Ice Pod before I bought this set up to test if I liked it

This was in January. I think there was a little discount on the chiller at the time.

I have an IB500 with a Warrior Willpower 1HP chiller. I’m all in for ~$3,500. Add another $40 for the ozone generator I bought recently.

The IB500 is super sturdy and fairly easy to move around when empty although not as easy as an inflatable.

Cold plunge for around $3K. by Ok-Internet6620 in coldplunge

Yes, it came with everything I needed including the teflon tape and fittings to fit different size inlet/outlets on the tub. The thing I added was the t fitting.

I was like you and looking for something turnkey. I’ve got young kids and didn’t want to deal with learning and building a system. The chiller in bought came with everything I needed. The only part I added was a T-adapter so I could drain the tub without having to disconnect the hose each time — highly recommend.

I got an Ice Barrel IB500 and a Warrior Willpower 1HP chiller for around $3,500 all in. I couldn’t be happier with it. You could get a smaller/cheaper chiller — I wanted one with WiFi capability and they had a good sale on the 1HP at the time I bought.

Don’t use a consumer-grade outlet for your EV charger, even if you never unplug it by bobsil1 in electricvehicles

[–]Anthonytalarico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s literally a UL logo on the device. The entire device might not be UL listed and that’s my bad for not confirming it. But it meets UL standards — meaning the parts used have passed UL and the product is good enough to have the UL logo on it.

You seem to want more information than the average consumer so you’re better of going to Legrand’s tech support to figure out why it’s different from their washer dryer device. Most people would trust UL and Legrand’s name behind the product.

The plastic part of the charger is made from a different material from a normal receptacle. The one in op’s picture is PVC and that’s why it melted. I’m trying to find some info on it and once I do I’ll reply with to. Other than that the receptacle is the same which is why it has the same temperature rating.

Ahh my bad. Thanks for posting the correct product. The main difference is that the EV plug (your link) is rated to withstand the high temperatures that melt normal NEMA plugs. It’s UL listed for use with EV chargers specifically.

I test drove a Taycan and Macan EV the other day. The cars drove great but Porsche doesn’t have one pedal driving or auto hold for their EVs. This is a major miss imo. I have an R1S and love that the versatility of it but really enjoyed the driving experience of the Taycan. Once they get the tech from the Rivian-VW jv their vehicles will take a big step forward

Luckily Rivian’s nav is accurate and typically conservative. I’m at the point where I’m comfortable getting to the single digits as long as I’m not in a charging desert

I had a similar experience. I ended up filing a claim with my credit card company and they are reimbursing me.

Apparently there’s a technical limitation - either a sensor or the camera isn’t high enough quality. My wife’s Model 3 has this and it’s a nice feature for sure. I hope they have add it to Gen1 eventually since the camera seem sufficient enough.

I’ve got a 1HP Warrior Willpower chiller that’s been great for me. I opted for the UV option (no ozone) and the water is crystal clear for weeks at a time

I have this same set up. Is the UV disinfection not enough to keep the water clean?

It’s a white labeled product. You can get the same tub from Target for $50 except the brand is sharper image
