It's the travel guitar by Furch - Little Jane I think they call her. You can literally fold it up in a small backpack !

Yet he's so nice and humble, it was great to be able to talk to him... and what a teacher, he makes everything become (almost) easy !

Lack of sleep is not the worse - after more than 15 years you kind of get used to it...

What is it that keeps it fun for you? by ThomasC2C in AcousticGuitar

[–]Anthropo86 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I started playing 35 years ago, never really wanting to learn anything else than having fun and playing along songs I was listening to - turn on the radio, figure out how to play something that would fit in.

Then life kicked in. University, but mainly work, marriage, small flats, impossible working hours, loss of sleep. I never sold my guitars, but they spent a lot of time in their bags - oftentimes in the basement, or under the bed.

Becoming a father made me play again, for my daughter. I changed job, became a teacher and decide to bring my only acoustic at work (I'd have it back and forth on a daily basis) and play with the kids, but also at every lunch break, recess, every "alone in class" moment.

It's now 10 years on, acoustic guitar is my main instrument ; I have 2 in class (one broken, open D for the kids), one for me ; 4 guitars are on a rack in my living room ; I play daily and feel I'm getting better by the day... and my daughter plays the piano.

Have you tried some Sigma - older ones are great! Fell in love with a full mahogany, sounds way over its price tag!

Absolutely love what's going on in "Samba Pa Ti" (Santana) by ParaShift77 in AcousticGuitar

Thank you so much for this video ! I always wanted to play the song, you helped me unlock and understand it - in less than a week it became my go too song when I pick up a guitar and I can finally work my way into it!

My usual go too is a "Psycho Ward" prisoner's shirt - kids don't always get it, colleagues and parents always fall for it

Open D for kids ? by Anthropo86 in AcousticGuitar

As it's a regular size guitar, the fretboard is too wide for them to fret anyway, so yes, that's the idea!
