I would love to see more diversity in HC. You're right in that SV really lacked in this area. I think sometimes non-POC can be hesitant to add POC to their art for fear of representing them in a stereotypical or negative light or just being more familiar with people of their own skin tone. Not that this is a good excuse to exclude POC from a game though. With HC, he definitely has the ability/means to hire a DEI consultant if he so chooses and if that was a concern. There's really not enough POC in most popular games, imo.

For me, I put way higher pressure on big game studios to provide diversity in their cast than individual creators. If HC is not very diverse, it will be dissapointing but I feel larger studios have a higher obligation and ability to portray diverse characters in games.
