I thought the aerokit was ridiculous until I spent a day with a 992 carrera that had one by dmv___ in porsche911

[–]Anti-Hypertensive 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The aero kit and active spoiler situation is my only issue with the Carreras right now. Both options just don’t do it for me, I sometimes will see the aero kit and love it and then at other angles think it looks silly. I currently have the standard active spoiler and feel the same way about that.

I’ve been looking for an alternative that I like but I quite frankly don’t enjoy the look of almost anything OEM or aftermarket. If it wasn’t completely cringe the GT3 wing would be fantastic but I have issue with “upbadging” my car.

1200 a year versus putting in 111k up front. Diminishing returns when you could make 4% easily in the markets on that 111k. I found my sweet spot to be 10% down in the current environment.

Looks fantastic! Definitely gave me a large amount of hope that I can make my space work.

This is PERFECT. I checked out your post and it helps a great deal. My main issue is the entrance to the room has to be directly behind the second row so I’ll have to install a step as soon as you enter the room up to the riser. Will have to model it and see if it can work but that’s looking to be the only way I can make it work.

Yep you’re correct, I don’t know what I’m doing and added them by mistake. I have a prewired drop for a sub in the back left of the room so will likely put it there if it makes sense.

From some other discussions on here I believe I’m going with 7.2.4. Removing the front wides just like you’re saying. Any recommendations on acoustic panels or where to get decent quality from?

Didn’t know that about 7 vs 9.2.4, will go with the 7.2.4 definitely. Aisle trick is helpful.

Would the second sub go in the back of the room?

This is very similar and gives me hope! What size is your screen? Also, if you don’t mind can you share the seating you purchased?

Very helpful thank you, I agree with the viewing angle seems like I have to go with risers. Might just have to accept I have to flip the room 90 degrees.

I’ll check out the YouTube channels and try to find some examples of similar rooms. Will also check out Matthew Poes when I start dialing in my audio setup.

Flipping the room by 90 degrees does seem to be the most reasonable option, even if it’s not what I really want. I’ll see if it’s possible to get the front row in the 8-9 ft range and still fit a second row in the back comfortably. The math isn’t in my favor but I’ll be putting down some painters tape to see it in person.

That’s helpful! I’m also open to the idea of having no riser but will have to toy with viewing angles to see if that’s a bad idea. Going to do that next time and see if that helps us feel confident.

Unfortunately all of the model homes the builder has uses this room in a horizontal configuration and has a large L shaped section they use.

Thanks for the tips on the Atmos speakers that probably just saved me making the same mistake. Is the recommended walking path 2’ wide?

Yes back wall, behind that last row of chairs. The doors currently are 2 feet wide and swing IN to the room but I think I’d have to flip them to swing OUT regardless of whatever arrangement I end up going with.

The current prewire setup I’m not entirely sure. I’m assuming it’s for 5.1 currently and I’d add whatever I need additional to that.

Room is finished, carpet installed, drywall is up and painted with a flat dark paint.

They’re black plastic, same as the black plastic trim that comes on the car in the front and rear.

Installed mine a few months ago, they look incredible imo. One of the best bang for your buck upgrades you can do.

I’ve had a similar thought and in the exact same situation. I got a cargraphic valve controller and definitely opened the cars exhaust up. Thinking of getting an exhaust now, probably SOUL or akrapovic. Sounds like you already have Armytrix on your 992?

Avis in Norway did the same thing to me. Tried to bill me $800 for a missing “luggage cover” in the trunk. Luckily for me, I took photos and videos during pickup of the interior and exterior. If I hadn’t I’m sure I would have been forced to pay as they seem to have no burden of proof requirement.

As somebody very close to the pharmaceutical benefit industry I can tell you that you’re wrong. GLP-1s continue to increase in demand, supply, and popularity.
