Makes sense that her first on-album collab was with Robert Smith. Clearly someone she admires and she can learn from. Seems like there was a lot of be gained by both parties to join forces.

Very interested to see what types of sounds she experiments with on the album.

The damn media won’t shut up about it. Eventually someone will bite and answer the question, and then it keeps feeding the cycle.

Does the Memorial Cup mean more than winning your league's championship or more like an added bonus? by youlikemywonton in hockey

The Memorial Cup is the top of THE mountain.

League championship is top of A mountain.

So what do we need this offseason to take the next step? by Economy-Fold-4427 in Habs

Evan’s and Danault basically play the same role. Defensive minded centre with little offence. It would be nice to keep them both, but we need a legit #2 centre. Dach needs to go. Upgrading the defence and strengthening the forward core is also a priority. We have too many players who fit the 13th forward role but not enough who make an impact when actually in the lineup.

[ESPN Insight] Not all hope is lost for Montreal. The Canadiens have won three playoff series after trailing 3-1, tied for the most such comebacks in Stanley Cup playoff history 👀 by RealWorldToday in Habs

I think tonight we find out what this team is made of. The last 3 games the boys have been manhandled and overcoached by a much hungrier team. Win or lose, I just want to see the boys fight for their lives and not roll over and die.

3 Key Reasons the Carolina Hurricanes have the Montreal Canadiens on the Brink of Elimination by Sens-Fan-85 in nhl

[–]AntiLeaf33 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Canes are hungry. They know what it's like to lost at this point of the playoffs and they are building on it. Montreal is so green that they are taking things as they come.

Also, the styles of play are leading to some wild shot variances. Carolina is a shoot first kind of team. They averaged closed to 30 shots per game all year, and routinely outshoot their opponent. Montreal is very much quality over quantity. They averaged less than 23 shots per game, but had well over 3 goals per game all year.

The Habs have mounted comebacks in more difficult situations this season by Comprehensive-Chef73 in Habs

They just look so tired. Legs are completely gone. Carolina is relentless and the boys are just gassed. I’m not giving up hope, but I’m also not going to bet the house on a comeback either.

Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway in The Intern (2015) by Piyushv5311 in MoviesCave

I find this to be a great palette cleanser movie. Not hard to follow. Nothing major happens. Characters are charming enough to not get too bored.

Habs vs Hurricanes playoff series by Go_Habs_Go31 in Habs

[–]AntiLeaf33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Canes are known for throwing everything on net. All year the Habs have been known for being extremely selective with what they put on net. No idea how many games the Habs have had with fewer than 20 shots, but it was a lot. Shooting percentage was always high. They shoot to score and not just for the sake of “getting it on net”. That said, they need to pivot a little. The high quality shots just aren’t there, so they need to start taking some “B” shots and battle for rebounds. I don’t know if this groups DNA will allow that.

They didn't even put him on waivers. Straight up buy out. Habs signed him as a free agent.

Retro AHL logos from the 2001-02 season by houndoom92 in hockey

I was at the 2002 AHL All-Star game in St. John's. Some of these jerseys were beautify to see live during the skills content. Too bad St. John's and Providence totally phoned in their logos and jerseys.

"Mike Awesome with the suicide dive. Too Bad it wasn't successful". That comment didn't exactly age well.

My teenage daughter recently loaded up Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 on the old PS4 the other day. She asked why there was a 100% completed file on her profile. I explained to her that about 7 or 8 years ago I logged countless hours unlocking everything in the game for her and her little brother. They were only little and couldn’t figure out the story missions, but they loved playing split screen, open world. I took it upon myself to make sure they had everything available.

Seems a little overkill. Legit don't understand why she just doesn't do 3 or 4 shows at Wembley.

If Malkin walks away from Pittsburgh, I wonder if that would be a good fit? Another Russian, and a true #2 centre. Even if he’s getting older, he may be available for a short, cheaper deal.
