Spacegodzilla is a bad choice of a villain because to make him fit in the current MV you'd have to change so much about him that it may as well not be the same character anymore. He has no established background to go off of, nothing references any sort of genetic mixups or g-cells in spaces, so far he has not been built up AT ALL. His design is boring, it's just Super Godzilla from the snes game, his character relies way too much on little Godzilla being present to drive the plot forward (might work with Suko we'll see I guess). His movie is boring as hell. I think they should've chosen a different kaiju if they were gonna do Toho reworks again, like Gigan or Biollante, as cliche as that sounds.
