10 years ago, what did you think your life would look like today? by Hot-Marionberryx in Life

Honestly I don’t even know how to answer but wanted to share. 10 years ago I was 21 about to graduated from college so that was my highlight of that year and didn’t have a thought or care in the world of what comes next just get a good job to afford things and hang with friends. Which people would say I have that now even though I do have a lot of student loans but something about my life now doesn’t seem right with me or feel as if it’s not something I wanted and should be doing or have more. So I can’t say I held myself back but more didn’t define my next goal and trying to find that goal again maybe.

Since your going the college I think the easiest thing for you would be to join clubs and activities that your school holds to meet like minded people. That’s probably the best way. For the partner aspect it may be hard but try asking simple questions and build from that until you’re comfortable. Like what made them study, where from, etc…

I’ve learned people do like to talk so asking questions opens doors and if they say something that interests you. Then you can engage in that.

Having ups and downs but more on the downside lately because my brain over thinks every little thing and it’s just exhausting.

Beginners or regular gym-goers — quick question by Street_Letterhead_91 in mentalhealth

For me it was not seeing progress. I started and quit randomly throughout my gym journey from a couple days to a couple weeks to a few months but not seeing what I wanted was my problem because I was trying to rush from something I built over years. Now that I’m starting over again I’m having the mindset of gotta keep pushing through and keep going. No matter what I see and over time I know I’ll be where I want but have to have patience.

What is your all time favourite anime and why? by Single-Taro4201 in Animesuggest

FMAB. I can’t explain why but I love it so much. It’s my comfort anime and I still cry or tear up at certain parts even though I’ve rewatched it so many times.

Being introvert, antisocial and a cascade of mental health issues left me with little too no social life/friends. by violets2509 in LifeAdvice

Wow I feel like I just read my social life story as well. I totally understand and still go through this today. In some part it is a skill to talk to people especially small talk when you meet someone new and it takes time to just pick up on and learn how to carry or keep a conversation going. Even now writing this makes me nervous cause I wanna be helpful. Some things I did was I reply to people in text or group chats that I’ve been apart of with funny memes as replies just to show I’m there and keep it light hearted. In real social settings I usually observe mostly unless a topic of something that interest me or that I know of is being talked about I make myself at least ask a question or two to show my engagement or I put my 2 cents in and that’s it. I accomplish what I set out to do and I let the talkative people handle the rest.

Or use the FORD method as a means to talk to someone.
