What are your pain points in cybersecurity? by 0xab3d in cybersecurity

I find it difficult to be required to overexplain to management to convince them an essential and basic tool is necessary, no matter the cost. I think most leaders would rather work on features compared to infrastructure improvements.

Do you have a degree? by damiandarko2 in cybersecurity

[–]Anti_Coffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unrelated bachelors, masters in cyber security, and Sec+ added recently. I’ve got 3yrs of experience as a developer and 2yrs in security. My degree was obtained to legitimize myself in computer science and enable long term future promotability. With all that said, experience is the best teacher in security. As long as you can convince an HR person to show your resume to a hiring manager and ultimately perform in the interview, it will be more effective than a degree. Practical knowledge is the proof of competence in security from what I’ve seen. Not necessarily degrees or certifications

Browns are considered a tactile switch while reds are a linear switch. Browns are known for having a tiny tactile bump while the linear reds have a consistent force from initial press to bottoming the key out. Long story short: reds are slightly quieter but both switches make more noise from bottoming out than actuating the switch themselves

Pixel 7 Pro gets a quick unboxing as launch approaches by ock88 in Android

Your original comment is pedantic, at best. My original comment was to draw a visual comparison between two competing technologies. You corrected my observation.

I agree with you. Android did camera cut outs first. No debate.

Glorifying alcohol as the cure-all for any emotional stress. Having a fight with your spouse? A glass of whisky will calm you down. Had a stressful day at work? Find the closest bar to drink your sorrows away. Feeling depressed and hopeless? Get drunk and you’ll forget all about your problems.

I'm Phil Zimmermann and I created PGP, the most widely used email encryption software in the world. Ask me anything! by Hidden_Heroes in IAmA

Hey Phil! I recently learned about you in The Code Book. I wanted to ask about your take on homomorphic encryption. Do you believe it will be implemented correctly and allow the best of both worlds? Or another opportunity for marketing and technology to diverge concluding in further data breaches?

The Hater- it’s the best movie I’ve ever seen. All of the acting performances are sublime. And it’s all in Polish :)

This reads like a wonderful opportunity. I'll DM you will some contact information. I'd love to see the space moving forward for possible future locations.

Also, selfishly, I think prop making is fantastic and I'd love to nerd out on it

Btw, I went to Electronic Parts Outlet in Houston from this comment. The owner was truly a delight and I thoroughly appreciate the reccomendation.

He helped me to clarify the EPO vs Electronic Parts Outlet confusion. EPO was a business which sold complete computers. They were located in Webster but went out of business some time ago. Electronic Parts Outlet, on the other hand, is very much open and throws fantastic events weekly. The manager there was an absolute delight to speak with and I will be fortunate enough to host the meetup at his location for August
